We have received an update from BC Hydro regarding this outage. The main cause of this outage which is affecting the whole building which includes the Infinitie Networks YVR data center is a result of a faulty cable line running directly to the building. We have been given an estimated time of service restoration of 3:00PM PDT. Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences that this may have caused and we will continue to update our customers as additional information becomes available.

Update on Outage: "Power cut off to customers in Vancouver's main business district July 14, 2008 - 4:27 pm By: THE CANADIAN PRESS VANCOUVER - Traffic has been snarled and some businesses have closed in downtown Vancouver because of a power outage that is affecting thousands of people. A fire in an underground hydro circuit knocked out power in the eastern half of the city's business district, forcing the evacuation of several buildings. Drivers are blaring their horns as they attempt to manoeuvre their vehicles through intersections without lights. B.C. Hydro spokeswoman Susan Danard says crews are trying to repair the circuit but that may take several hours and stretch into this evening. She says even Hydro's corporate office is without power because of the outage that has police warning drivers to stay out of the downtown core. SeaBus and SkyTrain continue to operate but trolley buses are being rerouted and the WestCoast Express train will be affected if power remains out this afternoon."
