Yup looking a bit messy [root@vz-vaserv ~]# ping vz9tx.vaserv.com PING vz9tx.vaserv.com (67.222.136.130) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from 67.222.136.130.tailormadeservers.com (67.222.136.130): icmp_seq=4 ttl=49 time=138 ms 64 bytes from 67.222.136.130.tailormadeservers.com (67.222.136.130): icmp_seq=6 ttl=49 time=138 ms 64 bytes from 67.222.136.130.tailormadeservers.com (67.222.136.130): icmp_seq=8 ttl=49 time=136 ms 64 bytes from 67.222.136.130.tailormadeservers.com (67.222.136.130): icmp_seq=9 ttl=49 time=135 ms 64 bytes from 67.222.136.130.tailormadeservers.com (67.222.136.130): icmp_seq=12 ttl=49 time=136 ms --- vz9tx.vaserv.com ping statistics --- 13 packets transmitted, 5 received, 61% packet loss, time 13455ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 135.938/137.277/138.787/1.290 ms

We have several servers at TMS and only one in the 72.9.151.x subnet had issues early this morning: 1 - 04:26:08 : 04:26:42 = 34s 2 - 04:30:53 : 04:33:41 = 2m 48s 3 - 09:42:53 : 09:43:53 = 60s The other servers are in the 67.222.128.x subnet and there have been no recorded high latency or network blips using 1 minute checks with Pingdom... oh well, not a big deal - these things happen even with the best of providers!

There was a major DDoS attack early this morning. This was directed at the same user for the second time. We had warned that user to take the target site off of our network and clearly that didn't happen. As a result the server has been terminated so it shouldn't happen again. Apologies for the problems and thank you for your understanding. JoseQ

em..good question, how big was the attack to that *site*? Do you have overall network protection deployed

We didn't notice any packet loss on 67.222.130.x either.
