Burst.net (and our server) just fell off the grid. Why! I was developing >.<

All boxes unreachable here also, although the occasional ping is getting through [at about 350msec, vs the usual 120-150]. Curiously DirectAdmin [port 2222] appears to be very slow but working.

Same here. I cant open their support site too.

yep my servers at volumedrives burst section are down to

Our servers are nearly non-responsive as well. E-mail appears to be working. Network issue or DDOS perhaps?

Posted by Fizzadar, 08-17-2008, 09:17 PM
Seems like it might be a DDOS or something? Siteuptime is reporting our server up and down in differing locations, as if the network is fluctuating. Nocster.com has actually started loading (the title), but it's extremely slow. Burst.net is loading, but nothing yet.

Posted by JLHC, 08-17-2008, 09:26 PM
It is back up now.

still very slow for me if anything at all

Posted by doughnet, 08-17-2008, 09:31 PM
Same. Think this happened last week also?

Posted by redlander, 08-17-2008, 09:33 PM
Yeah, my servers have been up/down for the last 20min or so. Probably the weekly DDOS/network issues. No real surprises.

Posted by doughnet, 08-17-2008, 09:36 PM
Isn't there hardware to help prevent massive DDOS attacks from causing unprofessional situations such as this? Or am I just wrong? "The network is protected from Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attacks via Top Layer™ Networks IPS 5500 series systems." Right from their website.

Correct, but it takes a while to get working. It seems like its doing its job at the moment now, back up, but slow.

Looks like Burst have stabilized now. Anyone heard what the official cause was?
