I have told it on 2009-05-23, that Virpus was down. Today Virpus is down on both of my VPS services from Virpus. Also Virpus.com is down. Hope they can fix it immediately.

4 or 5 hours now. Right when I was starting to get visitors coming back to my main site. I hate hosting. I've lost confidence in all hosting companies. Not because of this one incident, though. And not just because of Virpus. Had the same problems when I was spending a $100 a month.

It just depends on where your at, long ago I had two box's with softlayer (over paying atleast 100 amonth) but I was never once down.

So long so good with Virpus, this is one of the very few problems I've ever experienced with them. And still it's not a problem of them, but of WholesaleInternet. Hope they get to solve this ASAP. My clients are cursing me!

I know, this is not Virpus fault... But at my history - in this Year - this is already third big network problem. Once it was network problem again, then two (TWO) days with server crash and now this one.

Same here. Still waiting for them to have this resolved.

It hurts to read posts like these especially what you have in your sig. Believe me when I say that stability and uptime do exist. You have to keep trying until you find it though. Regards

Seems crazy to pay over $100 a month to keep a handful of my personal sites going. Perhaps when My UFO Blog would have the occasional 5,000 visit day. That was when I had a dedicated server at BurstNet for the second time. They are good as long as the network isn't having problems, and you don't need support. Server Matrix was the only good hosting experience I've had, that's been over three years ago, and that was around $130 a month. I've had websites since 1995 or 1996, so I've had a lot of hosting experiences. At the end of the day when your efforts are ruined because people can't reach your site/s. It's just not even worth it anymore.

It does seem like Wholesale Internet has been having some issues recently as these Virpus threads keep popping up. Hopefully they do fix their problems. Louis, if you do need a more reliably VPS, I would urge you to contact NetDepot. They have VPS there and we use one, no problems at all.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Virpus since signing up. It wasn't their fault a switch stopped working in the datacenter.
