How did you know? Looks like their customer do not know about it.

Digging around is how the information was found We had a VPS with them used for a few backups and DNS cbakhru is the old owner on here and a PM was sent and 1 reply was received claiming cmbhosting.net was sold and when asked to pass on the details of the new owner he/she did not reply. Last week it was claimed there was a DDOS attack which we checked with the DC and was advised that was not the case for the downtime and the IP's never went back online, no further details could be given about the reason. The new IP's given when to another DC which was claimed to be routing to DDOS protected IP's which was a lie the VPS was copied to another DC and when they (the DC) where asked why everything was down it was said a there was a number of servers that cmbhosting shut down. nobody was told anything

Names have been removed, there is also the PM which can be sent to mods to validate. ***: Hi, can you advise if an IP is active or suspended? ***: Unfortunately not, unless you are a direct client. I can tell you if we have the IP, but not the IP status. Sorry! ***: Are you able to ping the IP or not? ***: they said there was a DDOS 4 days ago to the range ***: What is the IP? ***: 69.***.**.*** ***: no ping ***: I can tell you that a DDoS attack is not the cause of the current downtime. But I cannot provide details beyond that (sorry).

I'm sick & tired of these hit-n-run scam artists. I have a VPS with them. Ironically, my vps is still running.

Hiya, I was fortunate enough to receive an e-mail giving me time to transfer my sites away. The following is the e-mail sent to me notifying me that they're getting rid of all VPS accounts: Oddly enough I've just received a new invoice despite the contents of the e-mail above. Here's to hoping they don't try to take any money out of my account. Last edited by mindlesstrance; 05-19-2009 at 02:15 PM. Reason: Adding additional information

I was also hit by these scammers a couple weeks ago. I filed paypal claim and couldn't get my money back because Chetan Bakhru the owner is a scammer. My VPS went down, and now i'm at buzz servers with two VPS accounts in different datacenters, and one of them has been down all day with no response from tech support emails or calls. People, please be careful of signing up with hosting providers that are relatively new. I have been scammed twice now in as many weeks from hosting providers less than 6 months old.
