sitegenie.com anyone?

Posted by vnunited, 05-29-2009, 09:27 AM
anyone host with sitegenie.com? I have one server with them, today, all morning for hours and probably at least 4 hours now, my server not responding, their business website not responding either, cannot ping, cannot access http ftp or anything like that, cannot email them either - got bounced back message, no one answer phone either. Is it possible they're unexpectedly out of business? any idea on how I can check?

I called their 877 # and they answered and indicated network routing issues, network related, will be up in about 30 mins. as of now 10AM EST. Thanks god I'm not loosing any data, just some network issues. It's not the first company I dealt with.

I have 4 dedicated servers with them. I also called the 877#, and they answered on the second ring. They told me the same thing, but sounds like it may be partially out of their hands, as they were working with AT&T. They told me that it should be restored in about 15 minutes, but that was an hour and a half ago. I have done business with them for a couple years and have found them very responsive and reliable. "Stuff happens" I suppose.

Yes I agreed, they're very responsive both to E-Mail and phone support, it just that this morning the first time I called, didn't get picked up, I called later, it was answered. It's up and running now. So glad it didn't effect the data, because I did not back up anything, yes my responsibility to back up not the DC.

I'd be very careful hosting with http://www.sitegenies.com/ as their website doesn't look very trustworthy

They seem to be up but they really need to align their page. It's all the way to the left :-s
