We are shortly going to add a status website which can be found at the following address: http://trustanetwork.com/ I would ask you not to ping or trace route this as it is running on my personal office network. Future announcements to this major outage can be found at the above address. Best Regards, Dominic Quick Co-Director TrustaHost Internet Services

Does anybody know what is going on with Trustahost? It's now been a day and a half with no service from them, other than an e-mail mentioning a network outage. I sent them an e-mail at midday, but with no reply so far. Any news is appreciated!

I had tried that several times earlier, but it wasn't working either. Good to see it's been updated, anyway. Is it possible that we will be back online by tomorrow?

Mmm... I suggest send email for your support

Yeh, I sent them an e-mail and it's long overdue a response. Their network status page has gone down again. Should it really take this long to get a server back up and running?

It depends what the problem was. Being in BlueSquare it's possible they have been affected by the VaServ hack, which would mean a lot of work to get back online.

I have emailed several times but no response, both trustanetwork and their main site are down. Was expecting the sites to be back up today. Wouldn't mind an update from Dom as getting worried.

Hiya Folks, Theres no need to worry. We have found a fault within the network that has made us temporarily disable all viewing ports to the servers. A website we have been hosting is taking up 100% serverload + ram by running a pretty huge script. We have opened the following ports on the network just in case anyone need to do any admin work: 2082 - cPanel 2086 - WHM All other ports have been blocked including SSH for those of you who have access to the magic 22! The problem is pretty huge however we are awaiting a reply from the client in question as to what their next steps are. I have narrowed down their options to make sure that they are off our network however we will only grant this user 6 hours before we make the decision for them as it is costing downtime and alot of unwanted stress. I would like to apologise for the trustanetwork.com website being offline. Someone kept pinging our network and it meant we were not able to get any kind of connection. @ jsp_1983 = As its a security issue and a hardware issue we have for the safety of dataloss had to close the entire network of servers down. @erik = Many thanks for keeping in contact. Your support is greatly appreciated. @newsniche = I was hoping also to get it sorted asap however some things are beyond our control. I will do my best to get all websites up and going by midnight. If not midnight then most definatly by tomorrow morning 6am. I have been working on this with 3 other hired in techs and 2 other hosting companies. I am sorry for the downtime and the non-responses however we are working at restoring full access shortly. Best Regards, Dominic Quick Co-Director TrustaHost Internet Services

Thanks for the update, Dom. I appreciate it's most likely beyond your control.

Hiya Folks, Hopefully this will be my final update before normal service is resumed I have spoken to the company that was using the script and it was on their to-do list to optimize it. Were are now working to bring full access back to the entire network and we hopefully will have it up before 6am Many of you will be in bed by then so i would cheekily ask if i can have a good sleep until say 2pm. The last 2 days have been hectic where i havent slept and i would appreciate your patience as i work better when i sleep at least 8 hours I will next update here when service is resumed. Dom, Thanks for keeping us updated. It is 11am Saturday now so I guess you are sleeping My sites are still down so I guess the problem has not been fixed yet. I am hoping it will not be too long before the sites are up again.

Hiya, I wish i was sleeping to be honest with ya. only caught a few hours The websites are all back online now and action has been taken to ensure there is no more downtime. We have had to restrict certain features on the server until we can fully resolve the issue. Some features in cPanel + WHM Will be unavailable for the next 24 hours so that we can see what is happening in more detail. I once again appologise for any inconvenience caused and i hope that you will all remain loyal customers of TrustaHost. Best Regards, Dominic Quick Co-Director TrustaHost Internet Services

Thanks Dom, We appreciate all the effort you have gone to to get this problem sorted. Just unfortunate it was such a big problem. I think most of us appreciate there will be unplanned down time for time to time wherever you host. The worse thing is not knowing as I cannot plan ahead. I'd rather know of any changes good or bad on a regular basis(when your site is down even an hour seems a long time) than not know at all, an update even if nothing much has happened. Once again thanks for all your efforts Dom and I am sure most of us will remain loyal due to the good value service to date.
