iFuse Hosting down?

Posted by spindizzy, 06-25-2009, 07:20 AM
Anyone know what's happening at iFuse? My hosting is down, as are their nameservers, website, status page.... I've been on hold at queue position 1 on the phone for 25 mins now and I'm getting a bit worried. Thanks, Nathan

I've had quite a bit of downtime with them recently, with no explanation.

Have you tried contacting them, brookie? I was a customer with them for a couple of months, and experienced no problems at all

Yes, I emailed the account manager but no reply. Seems to have resolved but would have been nice to have heard back.

Their site is running fine, perhaps it is your IP that being blocked by their firewall.

Perhaps they did but sometimes e-mails get marked as spam in your inbox so maybe something simple like that was the issue. Give us a review of the company in a month or so. Best of luck!

Huh? I know from the (Acquia) heart beat that the site is down and then when it is back up.

I mean sometime their firewall is a bit strict. I had vps with them and sometime I can't access it (even their site) while hyperspin tested it fine. IMO, their firewall seem to block the whole subnet. Ticket explains that it turn up to be their firewall.

It's best to email support. The account manager isn't 24x7 and you'll possibly get a reply from them in the morning. I know this as I have some VPS's with them. Edit: I had no downtime.

I didn't ask the account manager for tech support. I just asked him to comment on why the server was going down for 1-2 hours every few days.

I don't see how it's firewall issue. The site is there. I get a heartbeat email saying the site is down. I check from where I am and there is no site. I get friends to check from their networks and it's not there either. A bit later I get a heartbeat email saying the site is back. I check and sure enough it is.

If so, then perhaps it's time for you to go for a new host.

I've been speaking to one of their reps, Oliver, today. They are being just as helpful as they were when I was a customer He's asked me to post this message here: "Please e-mail me directly at oliver.hallpike@ifusetechnologies.ltd.uk. I will be pleased to deal with your query." This is aimed at anyone having problems; just to let you know that there is someone there. He also informs me that some account managers have been off ill, which is why responses may not have been sent/may have been delayed. Fyi: I am currently not a customer with them, but was for a few months.
