http://status.vps.net/ 6:14 PM EST – Cloud C in Chicago is currently experiencing trouble. We have engineers investigating now and will update when there is additional information available. Good times!

Their one transit (internet) provider went down, causing the entire Chicago cloud to go down. I'm glad they have spent lots of money in redundancy (sigh)

hi - it was not the entire Chicago cloud that was down, but "only" parts of Chicago Cloud C (Chicago A+B was fine) - and everything is up again. I am sorry for the issues though, and we are looking into how this could happen.

RFO (more to follow): Again, everything is up again, feel free to submit a ticket for more info if needed

We do have multiple feeds from nLayer going to the location, however (as Ditlev posted) our IP block wasn't being registered, causing the problem. We do have bids out to additional providers, and we hope to make a decision in the coming weeks.

To have all your transit with one provider is useless, doesn't matter how many feeds you have. You shouldn't have brought up that DC with only one provider.
