Hi WHT, I wanted to post this to inform those of you who have a hosting provider that uses American Fiber Systems or Cogent CO. In Salt Lake City, Utah. Currently they have a disconnect within the fiber network. They are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. At this time they have tech testing the fiber networks to locate the severed fiber strands. This is currently effecting all customers of InstaVPS you will receive an email at the time the network has been restored. We should have a network status email sent out within the next 30-45 min. Keeping our customers informed is our number one priority. Thank you for your patience.

Emails have been sent to all InstaVPS Customers with the current status of this outage.

Fiber cut has been located. Splicing crews are currently on their way to begin the repair.

Early word is saying this will be resolved early in the AM. Currently 7:55 PM MST

Last update, they are currently digging up the area around the break and preparing to start splicing the fiber back together.

Current status, 3:01 AM MST traffic is now passing across the network. Appears that the fiber has been reconnected.

I just wanted to say thanks to you folks at InstaVPS for the great communication on this issue. That's the best downtime update I have ever seen - ongoing status updates with ETAs and the like.
