All our servers at Cleveland NEO152 went offline about 12:45pm ET, and calling any of the support numbers (toll free and 412 area codes) results in a solid dial tone.

As of 1:45pm ET, we're back up. I finally got through to a supervisor's cell phone in Pittsburgh and he acknowledged there was a problem at some locations and the phones were down and they were working on it.

It would probably be helpful to post what happened and perhaps a response from them as others here probably use them. Having their phones and everything dead at the same time of an outage doesn't speak well for the company.

To follow up, they sent out a root cause analysis today with a detailed explanation. In summary: "One of multiple upstream IP border gateway protocol (BGP) peer sessions failed and, as the result of a configuration error made during a recent maintenance event, had the affect of dropping routes required for non-BGP enabled devices to reach external network destinations, causing certain customers in the Pittsburgh and Cleveland areas to lose connectivity." The failover of the IP based phone system is also being addressed.
