Packet Loss to GNAX Dallas...
Posted by sfchost, 11-26-2010, 10:35 AM |
Anyone else seeing issues with GNAX in Dallas? It seems the Above.net network is having intermittant issues again. Multiple traceroutes from all over the US are failing:
We are supposed to be on their Gold network, but ever since their "all you can eat" bandwidth, this has started to be more of a regular occurence. Other key dates are Oct 1st, 18th, 26th, 31st, Nov 9th, and now today. I fired an email off to our sales person who hasn't responded yet.
In case GNAX reads this, the ticket is AKX-255769.

I'm on the move at the moment, but will read your ticket when I'm at a terminal shortly.
I will see what I can find out for you and keep you posted. Feel free to email me - jscales@gnax.net

Same for us but it only seems to be part of the network (specific IP block/range)

DOS? The only thing I ever heard from GNAX has been "upstream provider issue" and that is only when they don't close my ticket with no response... Interesting.
I like Beachcomber's slogan "UNLIMITED Quality requires LIMITED plans".

I will take a look at this for you.
We don't have gold network in Dallas - there is only one network there. Wee have had some issue with abovenet - not sure if this is what it is but I will check. I can tell you it has nothing to do with server bandwidth. Dallas is very lightly utilized.

Is the dallas cheaper than the Atlanta dc to be hosted?
|
Posted by Mr Terrence, 11-27-2010, 07:16 PM |
They are both the same price.

All servers we have in Dallas are down right now. Atlanta is fine. Can't get the helpdesk either.

Hey,
Do you have a ticket open for this problem? If so what is the ticket ID? I will be happy to look into this for you.
