BuyVM down?

Anyone having trouble accessing BuyVM? I can't get to http://manage.buyvm.net/ nor to my VPS. But their main site (http://buyvm.net/) is up.

Same here, and both of my VPS' are down.

If you login to open a ticket they have this notice on their site: Frantech Downtime 11/22/2010 06:05 Hello, At 10:35 PM GMT -8 the entire Fremont datacenter had a short power outage lasting about 2 minutes due to an issue that occurred while they were doing unannounced UPS work. Because of this all of our equipment went offline as we're not allowed to have personal UPS's on-site either. At this point, all but node20 is back online, with that node pending a final FSCK by Francisco. While we're all a little shaken up right now about this, given this location having nearly 4 years of power + network uptime prior to this, we're hopeful for another 4 year run. HE (Hurricane Electric's) Incident report is detailed in the following PDF:

Yes i also read that. But is from 11/22/2010 and today its 11/23/2010. Besides that all was up earlier this day. So i don't think its related... Karl; I couldn't find any phone nr. from them

Sorry, I am lagging a bit here, you are right on the date... My stuff was up earlier today, it went down at 9:30am CST. (GMT - 6 hours.) I use a VPS on their system for all my DNS records, so the $15 a year plan from them is not looking that great compared to the $50 a year for managed DNS now...

FMT1 lost power again I think, at least Linode status page said so (http://status.linode.com/2010/11/fre...nectivity.html)...

Yes both my vps are down as well There on different boxes too 1 is a frantech vmware vps 1 is a buyvm openvz fps http://voice.wazzhost.com:81/STATUS_...COM/index.html http://voice.wazzhost.com:81/STATUS_...COM/index.html My monitoring shows them going down at 7:27 AM (PST) Still down...

HE just had another power outage so we're fixing things up :/ We were actually just talking to them about getting our own UPS's. Sorry about this folks, we're working quickly to get everyone online, and hopefully this time without a huge FSCK mess. Francisco

Keep up the good work Regarding UPSes, one would expect that Hurricane Electric datacenter of all places would have proper electricity backup (with diesel generators etc)....

They have generators but they've been having a UPS issue it seems. At this point we're likely going to get our own UPS's as a 'just incase'. Francisco

Just as a small update: We're around 80% back online. We have a few nodes still pending FSCK but that should be online ASAP. Thanks! Francisco

I'm on node10 and still down.. I can understand upstream datacenter power issues being outside of buyvm control, but it's been over 13 hrs since the power glitch. Seems like there could be better infrastructure build or better planning for quicker recovery.

Everyone has been up for quite a few hours If you have a server down just log a ticket and we'll check it. There was one node that too quite a bit longer to FSCK, but at this point everything is reported online. I also posted the RFO from HE in the other HE thread in this section. Thanks! Francisco

Hi, We were in the middle of a staff rotation so it's possible your ticket didn't get picked up right away - sorry about that We confirmed a kernel panic in the morning and are adjusting our nodes to auto reboot once there is a panic, which means if one does happen again, it will be a few minutes, not longer while we wait on a reboot to get completed. Down again ,,, this is the fourth time in past 30 days it looks like node 14 is not stable at all . this VPS is totally useless
