Secured Servers - Switch malfunction (less than 40 servers affected)

Posted by smithc, 01-13-2011, 05:25 PM
At approximately 2:00PM AZ time, one of our public switches started to malfunction causing noticeable packet loss to less than 40 servers. Our network engineers are currently in the process of replacing the switch. Secured Servers will honor its 100% uptime guarantee to the customers under the switch experiencing packet loss. Please open a ticket (support@securedservers.com) so that we can make sure your account is compensated accordingly.

That's kind of a contradiction. You are not honoring your uptime guarantee, you are honoring your compensation policy. 100% uptime guarantees are ridiculous to begin with, but offering it while only deploying a single connection from a single switch really doesn't quite cut it.
