I'd like to know what's going on too. I have a few websites hosted with YDGH, and I have my own clients who have websites there. I know Corey and Wayne personally, very well actually. Normally I can reach out to them on their Facebook walls, on instant messenger, over email, or even just text or call their cell phones. But now, as I try to get a heads up on this outage, not a peep from either of them on ANY contact method. Hell, Corey and I chatted on IM for about an hour just a few nights ago. Now...silence. What's up guys, this isn't like you. Why am I relegated to registering on a forum just to find out when our sites are gonna be back online? EVERYONE is in the dark, shed some light!

Also waiting for an update. I had to start up another reseller service so some of my business accounts could get back up. I've had to rebuild them now with a "under construction" page. looks terrible. Hopefully this will be resolved, we get the sites back up and I can cancel my account before the 'return period' ends. I hope this results in much more stable servers, as well. I just hope this does not end badly. I liked the quick and honest service I got from Wayne and Corey.

Is it normal that servers are down for about 40 hours? And no explanation from the host company? I think this is very bad

Posted by WillGR, 07-29-2011, 07:52 AM
I wasn't saying it isn't bad. All i was saying was that its back online now. So you can try contacting them to get some answers.

The question was not only pointed to you, it was to all on this forum. I have already mailed them. Anyway i dont care what they say as am gonna take my sites and move from this ugly hosting company to a serious host that care about there customer.

Yes , the sites are all back up and running fine. Thanks Corey. After talking to Corey, I know there was a good reason for this outage, but I just don't like not knowing what's happening during the down time.

Yes our site is on the same server as all of our reseller customers and that was moved AWAY from the provider we were with. We wanted to keep the move hush hush so that our current provider did not know our intentions, this way we wouldn't have trouble with the move for our other customers on vps nodes. No we aren't gone, and no we do not advertise 100% uptime.

So 40 hours downtime is okey? without telling customer what happen? You know, you could have been announce that in some way.. I'm tired of poor service from bad companies Off topic: Why does ydgh not answer my ticket? I have been waiting 2 days for my Ticket about my eep code that i dont can get out from your system(cause it gives error-message). Is it so hard to just give me that answer?

Posted by Sampras99, 08-02-2011, 05:44 PM
Now they do it the right way Send out email and also announce on their site "ALL VPS NODES WERE MOVED OUT OF OLD DATACENTER" So they learned to do it the right way

They were also kind enough to include all of their clients email addresses as well. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showpo...2&postcount=74 The right way, as it should be.
