EZPZ Issues (US7)

Posted by ThatScriptGuy, 01-22-2012, 09:16 PM
Recently the US7 server was having hardware issues and we were told that we were being migrated to a new server in a new DC. That was over a week ago. Today I'm noticing that our websites with dedicated IPs are no longer loading. Shared IP sites are working fine. Further, on trying to contact EZPZ via their support system, I'm getting 404 errors. What in the world is going on over there?

We were just switching the desk to another server so it was offline for a few minutes but we're back up. The migration has been completed, if a domain isn't working it's likely you're using an external DNS provide which would need to be updated. Please submit a ticket with the domain you're having problems with and we'll investigate.

And just like that, the helpdesk is back up and they're looking into the issues I'm experiencing. Gotta love EZPZ.

Not using external DNS. Domain is pointed per the setup instructions I received on signup.

Still experiencing major issues here. And to top it off, now some sites that WERE working last night are no longer working.

So have you opened a support ticket with them? You might want to PM the ticket details to Dan and he will look into this for you

Of course I have. I've also sent Dan messages privately here. I was just trying to figure out if anyone else has been having issues like this since the server change.

FRH is on US7 ourselves. As far as I can tell, our sites are all up and running. However, server load in WHM is around 8-10 right now and WHMCS is very slow (though WHM is speedy). For the moment we're just attributing this to "cleanup" from the migration, so no ticket just yet. I'm not complaining, I just wanted to point out that we are running ... just a little slowly.

Our problems are definitely related to DNS somewhere. What nameservers are you using for your domains (PM me if you'd like). Are you using custom nameservers or the the EZPZ branded ones?

Us7 is extremely slow right now. This is getting ridiculas. I really really hope they get this sorted out as I am starting to get frustrated. We have all been somewhat patient and my rope is almost out. I've lost 2 "clients" already and I am about to loose another. Considering I only have 8 clients it kind of hurts.

To correct my above statement. I don't think it is the server itself but the hops to the network that are causing the issue of me not being able to connect. Tracing route to mydomain.ca [67.222.129.**] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms DD-WRT [192.168.1.1] 2 8 ms 13 ms 8 ms 10.125.70.1 3 15 ms 13 ms 15 ms 67.231.222.29 4 10 ms 43 ms 18 ms stlaurent2.cable.teksavvy.com [69.165.168.250] 5 14 ms 13 ms 13 ms stlaurent1.cable.teksavvy.com [24.246.55.1] 6 24 ms 16 ms 24 ms tge11-3.fr4.yyz.llnw.net [208.111.134.241] 7 32 ms 31 ms 36 ms tge22-4.fr3.ord.llnw.net [69.28.189.137] 8 * * * Request timed out. 9 34 ms 28 ms 31 ms xe-1-3-0.cr1.ord2.us.above.net [64.125.30.142] 10 67 ms 58 ms 57 ms xe-0-2-0.cr1.dfw2.us.above.net [64.125.30.61] 11 59 ms 57 ms 57 ms xe-0-0-0.cr2.dfw2.us.above.net [64.125.30.74] 12 57 ms 58 ms 58 ms xe-0-1-0.er2.dfw2.us.above.net [64.125.27.82] 13 58 ms 58 ms 59 ms 64.124.196.226.t00876-01.above.net [64.124.196.2 26] 14 55 ms 55 ms 56 ms 206.123.64.153 15 57 ms 55 ms 59 ms 72.249.128.110 16 59 ms 56 ms 55 ms 67.222.129.**.**.com [67.222.129. **] Trace complete. I have testing this on all my home connection (3) and my cell and all are the same.

The time out in the middle doesn't mean that there is an issue.

Sorry. I just figured that is what was causing my connectivity issues. Every other site is fine unless it went through that route. I tested about 20 sites and only the slow ones took that path, even if they were hosted at different places.
