BuzzServers License Validation Failed

Posted by tpirate5, 07-08-2009, 12:33 AM
not sure whats wrong with Buzz Servers now but when i try to login through the Client login panel i receive the following message:
"License Validation Failed." Seems like someone needs to update their pirated version of whmcs. Also can not even access my server till the end of the week because i must wait for their new panel to be setup.

Their WHMCS seems legit, and according to http://www.whmcs.com/members/verifydomain.php it's legit... unless you don't mean buzzservers.com?

Yes, their WHMCS and Kayako licenses are both valid and functional..must be a license server error or a late renewal..no biggie. Just PM Buzzservers-J here

Hey,

The licenses are fully legitimate

I've noticed this error before on not only my own WHMCS. It seems to be when the site can't connect to the license server, I am not sure. Licenses are renewed and always are via subscriptions to WHMCS.

Its a WHMCS problem, the script would be trying a connection to license servers but failing due to some reason like server being down etc. it does not mean they are using pirated. you are too quick to jump into conclusions.

if you want to blame anyone, blame it on bad licensing policy of WHMCS

Little edit Gary

From : http://wiki.whmcs.com/Licensing
Quote:
WHMCS uses a local key licensing system with periodic remote verification checks. What this means is that once every 7 days, your WHMCS system will contact our server to ensure it is being run in the correct location and that the license is still valid. Your WHMCS system being online is not dependant on our server being online during the time the local key is valid. Should our licensing server be down on the day your next verification check is due then the system will allow up to 3 days for a connection to be made. If after this time, the system is still unable to verify your license with our licensing server then your WHMCS Admin Area will become inactive until it can contact our server again.
Your WHMCS Client Area will always remains online even if you have an invalid or expired license to ensure your clients access is not interrupted.

Please don't assume that a companies license is stolen or hacked until you have the facts. It puts a tarnish on a company's reputation unfairly.

This is a COMMON problem, especially since Version 4 of the software with WHMCS.

This happened to us too. Quite a few customers up in arms but the issue seemed to resolve itself.

If it was pirated it just wouldn't miraculously stop working

It's good to see the issue has been sorted, Jason contact WHMCS as to see why this happened?
