CatsNine- Monty Down

Posted by Andrews860, 07-27-2009, 06:44 PM
The monty server over at CatsNine is down. According to my monitoring services it has been down since 1PM EST.

Server IP is 72.44.82.240 if someone wants to confirm.

One of my reseller accounts with them has been down almost the same amount of time so I`m guessing I am on the Monty server. That`s a heck of a lot of downtime in day and still my account is down.

Kind of dissapointed in the lack of updates and information from them. Nothing about network status or information on their website that I can see.

I've received two replies by them so far about the server being down:

First at 3:30PM EST:
Quote:
Hello,

We are working on this issue. We shall update you soon.

Regards,
Jackson
Then after I asked for a update I got this at 7:00PM EST:
Quote:
Hello,

We undserstand your concern regarding this. We shall get this sorted out soon and shall update you.

Regards,
Jackson

Yes I got a reply too, I just feel people shouldn`t have to keep chasing for information all the time. Looking at their website you would not believe one of their production servers has been down the best part of half a day!

I'm in the US and that is a number in Australia I believe. If someone could call and see what is going on, that would be greatly appreciated!

Eight or nine hours of downtime now and the same replies "we appreciate your concern we are working on this".

Last I heard in a ticket five hours ago they were contacting the datacentre to request a reboot.

9 hours downtime, no response to my latest ticket. The last response I got was at 7PM saying they will update me soon.

Time for me to move on. This is unacceptable, the lack of updates is or rather the amount of updates is zero. Thank fully the one site I had hosted on this server can be moved easily.

This is headed for a full day of downtime and they have done nothing to let clients know what is going on. I`ve had this account with them for about three months now and it`s been pretty good so far, but today has totally blown that away!

Just got this:

Quote:
Hello Andrew,

We have already contacted our datacenter regarding this issue and they are working on it.

Regards,
Jackson

The last reply I got around seven hours ago! I wonder what their definition of "rectified soon" is lol. I got my site back up so I`m on my way. Sucks as I have lost a days worth of email for this account.

Quote:
The server seems to be having some issues at this moment. We have contacted the data center to reboot the server now.

The issue will be rectified soon, and we will update you at the earliest.

Regards,
Neil

Server is backup.

Oh, I didn't even see your reply until now.

I sent a PM to 'Matt' on your forum with my ticket number. I was told the ticket was escalated, I'm assuming that is management.

Seems my account on the "Monty" server is down again. Got an email from Pingdom, went down about 25 mins ago.

Same problem here, although it is back up now.

Is Catsnine down? I can't seem to connect not even in their support site.

I'm hosted in the US server.

As stated in my response to your PM, their main website is loading from my end but not your website.

EDIT: I just checked and noticed that their support portal is not working as well.

You may want to contact them through their WHOIS information: http://whois.domaintools.com/catsnine.com

Not sure what happened, but my sites got back online again. Good thing!

It was down for like almost an hour though, but not bad. Nobody's perfect.

Great to hear that your website is up and running now.

However, do take note than an hour of downtime equals to about 99.86% of uptime for the month.
Be sure to claim your SLA credit if they offer an uptime guarantee.

Thanks for reminding, I was actually trying to look for it. I don't know if I missed it, or they just don't offer refunds... not sure though
