APCN2 segment 7 (Tanshui - Shantou) had just experienced cable fault at 02:45UTC on Aug 12 09. Together with the APCN2 Segment 1 which is under repair, certain amount of traffic to Singapore are down. Cable ship Asean Restorer is now commencing the initial joint of the 2nd fault. The repair will only be completed on 13-August late evening if everything goes smooth.

Reason of outage :

Under investigation by APCN2 NOC

Current status:

The related cable stations are requested to check their equipment currently.

Please be advised that higher impact by double fault on APCN2 S7 today and APCN2 S1 earlier.

For APCN2 S1, cable ship Asean Restorer is now commencing the initial joint. The repair will only be completed on 13-August late evening if everything goes smooth. Situation might be improved after the APCN2 S1 is fixed.
