GoDaddy Web Hosting Upgrades Increase Performance & Reliability

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Dec. 3, 2013) – GoDaddy, the world’s largest Web hosting provider, has teamed up with Microsoft and Parallels to create a new Windows-based Web hosting offering at GoDaddy. The improved Web hosting option gives customers better performance, more stability and an easy-to-use interface to manage their accounts.
This evolution is part of GoDaddy’s new corporate strategy that concentrates the company on developing best-in-class products to help small business owners and entrepreneurs grow online. GoDaddy has evolved its Web hosting architecture to create a fast, consistent experience for its customers, by increasing CPU and RAM, and lowered the density per server. Now, by leveraging Windows Server 2012, customers will experience world-class storage, networking and performance.

“There’s an old adage in technology, when buying a new product, you can choose two of the following three – speed, reliability and affordability,” said GoDaddy Senior Vice President and General Manager Hosting Jeff King. “That isn’t the case with our new Windows Web hosting – with GoDaddy, you can have all three. The product takes the stability of Windows Server 2012, adds it to our hyper-fast Web hosting infrastructure and is easy-to-use thanks to Parallels Plesk Panel. This is a big step forward, but it’s only the beginning ... watch this space, we’re just getting started.”

“Microsoft has introduced Cloud OS functionality designed specifically for hosting service providers with the release of Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2,” said Microsoft Vice President, Hosting Service Providers, Marco Limena. “As a longtime Microsoft partner, we’re confident GoDaddy’s decision to take advantage of Windows Server 2012 will satisfy customers and provide improved performance, scalability and automation they demand.”

The addition of Parallels Plesk Panel saves Web professionals time by simplifying complex tasks such as managing databases, configuring domain names and installing the most popular CMS applications like WordPress and DotNetNuke.

“When we started talking to GoDaddy about expanding Parallels Plesk Panel to their all new Windows Web hosting accounts, it became abundantly clear that GoDaddy is determined to give the best possible hosting experience to their customers,” said Parallels Chief Marketing Officer, Service Provider John Zanni. “With the Parallels Plesk Panel simplified administrative experience, it’s the perfect tool to tightly align with GoDaddy’s specific customer needs.”

In the coming months, GoDaddy is expanding its hosting platform across 60 countries in 30 different languages. More global customers will be able to manage their entire Web hosting experience in their native language, enhancing the experience of managing a website.

GoDaddy now serves more than 12 million paying customers worldwide and is the largest Web hosting and domain name registrar on the planet. GoDaddy leverages its award-winning talent and personalized approach to help small business owners create their digital identity, build websites and grow online.
