Im here, yes it is still down, we're narrowing the issue to router level (I can't get directly into the server, to see what's going on, so it's KVM currently).

We should be up by Tuesday at the latest, will keep updated. PS, did anyone get the email sent round?

No, I didn't get an email. Is there any progress being made? I really can't deal with much more downtime. Is there a new ETA?

I understand that things happen, but there has been a ton of downtime lately.

Interesting, yes, there is progress being made. The Hostcule (hosting) server was up briefly today before it got attacked again. The safe option would be to use, http://www.orangehosting.ca which is currently, more stable.

Ok so which one is it? Router or server hack and why the redirect to the new name. Is that the new company name?

I am wondering when the server will be back online , it has been 1 week plus after the server went offline.

Posted by dinosnoopy, 01-30-2010, 05:42 AM
orangehosting.ca currently only offers shared and reseller hosting , currently no vps and dedicated hosting , so sad , can't get a vps right now

We are working to get it up. Right now, Hostcule is the priority, and I'm happy to report that services should be restored by Saturday of this coming week.

Although the servers are online I am trawling through accounts to find the culprit of the rootkit.

Note: VPS accounts are not affected by any of this.

It's already saturday , when is the website going to be accessible ? I am like dying to get in again :l , and regarding the vps , is there any special offer for it like the $5 off offer =D

Posted by RS Shamil, 02-21-2010, 02:19 PM
There will be very special offers once we are back online, which will definitely be shortly.

I believe the main server crashed however the hosting server is still up so you can still access your hosting. Not completely sure.

Posted by RS Shamil, 03-07-2010, 11:39 AM
Yeah, the hosting server is online - we're transferring the communications server to a new grid.

That's one of the issues with colo-ed servers.

Posted by RS Shamil, 03-07-2010, 01:42 PM
It's up now
