JSHosts - Unfortunate Downtime

Posted by [JSH]John, 01-28-2010, 04:22 PM
Unfortunately we've currently got some downtime with the servers Saturn and VZ01. This has been caused by the datacentre disabling our servers for a suspected hacking attack (possibly a vps that was hacked - they didn't contact us about this until disabling the servers).

We've been trying to contact the datacentre since the moment our servers were disabled but have not had any response yet. The servers were disabled 5 minutes after their telephone lines closed and a support ticket with them is still currently unanswered.

As soon as we have more information about this, the thread will be updated and all clients affected will receive some compensation for the downtime. We do have backups so any clients that wish to have their backup restored to another of our servers please send me a PM with your information so I can assist further.

Due to the unresponsiveness of the datacentre during times as critical as this, we're looking at migrating many of our clients on these servers to new servers elsewhere, which are already being set up as this is being typed.

You should consider changing the datacenter. This is not the right way a datacenter should handle such issues. Also a datacenter should provide a 27/4 emergency support.
