Showing HTTP as down here.

hugege: Wouldn't you have more luck contacting DowntownHost directly about this? Have you tried this approach?

According to that MySQL and SMTP are down so maybe he's thinking it's down cause of MySQL being down.

server 27, my primary server, has been a problem for the longest time and it's getting worse - server down or offline, matters not. Webpage doesn't come up, consider server down. Don't go by the status page, many times it takes a while to kick in and reflect what's really going on - i've had the server down for a half hour but the status is showing green across the board.

99% gaurantee? can't even get a response from support ticket on this one, the first one was sent in 15 hours ago on an unrelated issue, second one for server down was sent in 2.5 hours ago - still nothing. This is not the first time that it takes so long to get a response - used to be 5 minute max to get a response. Numerous phone calls tonite, many promises - and a few lies. This is getting tiring.

You should also monitor the server yourself. You can setup an account with Pingdom.com and can monitor 1 website for free.

Give it a try.

Btw the percentage uptime for 99% equals 7 hours 26 minutes 24 seconds of downtime.

Hope this helps.
