New VPS-based Reseller Hosting product from Go Daddy

Fellow Web Hosting Talk participant,

My name is Flavio Andrade, and I am Go Daddy's Product Line Director for Hosting. I am posting today because we just launched a new product designed for the web professional - Reseller Hosting, powered by VPS.

Designed specifically for those that want to create a hosting infrastructure or support their web development business, our Reseller Hosting platform includes cPanel/WHM and WHMCS, which is a widely accepted control panel suite within the web professional community. In our discussions with web professionals, they clearly indicated concern with limitations of a shared Reseller Hosting model. One of the most consistent comments from feedback we received was the desire to control the density of the servers and ensure a level of quality -- something that is not possible on a shared environment.

Based on that feedback, we designed our Reseller Hosting product around a Virtual Private Server (VPS) platform, pre-loaded with cPanel/WHM and with a WHMCS license included at no additional cost. That means resellers have full control over the virtual server -- including site density, operating system and system settings.

Under the hood, Go Daddy Reseller Hosting runs on a virtual container architecture, which allows each user to have full access to their operating system and enjoy a great level of resource isolation from other customers. On-the-fly scalability makes it possible to increase the size of the server without a reboot, allowing you to progressively grow your hosting environment. Servers start at 1 GB RAM/40 GB storage and go up to 8 GB RAM/240 GB storage.

Our VPS has reserved RAM so you do not have to "fight" for memory resources with other customers. Also, we limit the number of VPS instances running on a single host, in order to keep the performance of each instance at a maximum level.

For the past several months we have been actively involved in this forum, and we truly enjoy interacting with the community; we will make every effort to help where we can and learn as much as possible. We will continue to interact via this forum and get your input on this and other products.
