Quantum Gateway having issues?

Posted by stablehost, 07-03-2010, 03:13 PM
Is anyone else having issues with them today? Several of our transactions are being declined for 'Card type not valid' when they are using Visa and/or Mastercard.

Hello,

Please submit a request to the gateway including your login. There is no way for me to help you or anyone else with out this information. As for any changes there have been none on the gateway for quite some time. There has to be a logical reason and untill all that information is received I am afraid I can't help you.

We just had a customer open a ticket with that same error, but it seems they were able to make payment after a while, so I'm not sure.

I'm glad I'm not the only one This hasn't been the first time this has happened, usually goes away after a while, but it's obviously killing my sales.

The following is a message from QGW Support:
--------------------------------------------

Hello,

After much researching it was found out that some accounts were being sent to one of the back up web servers via the load balancer. Where as this is what it was designed to do, that particular server had an older copy of the authnet emulation API. Once this was found out the engineers made sure that all files are now the same on that server. Every time there are changes made or new releases it is pushed to all servers. They are still not sure why this one api file did not take the push for that server. They have now added into their procedures to check every server after there is an update or new release to make sure this does not happen again.

Have a great day.
