You must have missed the email about the SAN failback.

At 11:32PM PDT:
Quote:
Dear Customer,

We have completed fail back over to SAN2's primary node. Your virtual machines should be accessible and in the same state.
We are completing some final adjustments, they are not customer impacting.

Thanks,

Gigenet Support Team
Original announcement (sent July 4th):
Quote:
Dear Customer,

We will be completing the SAN2A maintenance July 6, 2AM Eastern. We will be failing back over from SAN2B to SAN2A. Failing back is a little bit trickier then failing over to the slave. It can take a few seconds longer. In order to prevent your VM from going in to a read only state , we will pause your VM, and then unpause after we fail over. This process will take a total of 2 minutes to pause and 2 to unpause. The machine will be unpaused and brought online in the exact state it was left at.

The reason for the delay is because we discovered an issue with one of the RAID Controllers on SAN2A prior to doing the failback when we were doing testing. All of this was preventive maintenance and now SAN2A is healthy and should as stable if not more then before.

TIME: 2AM EST
DATE: TUESDAY July 6
END TIME: 2:45AM
EXPECTED IMPACT: connectivity loss time: 5 - 10 minutes.
Replaced: 6 Drives, and RAID controller

If you have any questions , please open up a ticket in the control panel.

Hello,

We had a planned maintenance on one of our storage nodes which was a very quick 2 minute procedure. We sent out an email to all customers letting them know that this was happening roughly 2 days ago.

Everything is 100 percent nominal at this time and everything went as planned.
