Atjeu network down? [merged]

Posted by JonL, 07-10-2010, 11:34 PM
I really do not like opening these threads but by server at Atjeu is not responding and I cannot access atjeu.com or support.atjeu.com to submit a helpdesk ticket to find out what is going on or get an ETA as to when the issue will be fixed. Alertra.com is reporting their company website is down from all its checkpoints so I assume it is network wide issue.

Anyone know what's going on?

Posted by amusive.com, 07-10-2010, 11:41 PM
It does appear to be down for me too.

amusive and pablius5k:

Do you guys have servers at Atjeu or are you just unable to access their website?

Posted by pablius5k, 07-10-2010, 11:56 PM

Guys,

One of my client called me up and said that he was unable to load his website.

I checked and yeah my servers are down and I cant even get to Atjeu.com...

Can anyone confirm if it works from your end?

Regards,
Masud

P.S. I didn't post this in normal hosting or dedicated server thread to avoid the attention of end users.

Two servers both unreachable and their main site site is down too. Their YIM is offline too.

Seems back down to me now.

Posted by atjeu, 07-11-2010, 01:58 AM
We had a power outage and our transfer switch to take us to generator power also failed at the same time. It should all be back up now and we are going server by server to make sure all is back up. The support desk should be up soon.

Checking the amusive servers now Jim

Everything seems up for me now!

"The Help Desk is currently closed
Please see comments below for further information
Arizona Public Service has experienced a major power outage this evening. When APS power fails our transfer switch starts up our generator and switches power over to the generator. Unfortunately when APS power failed it also caused a failure in some parts of our power systems outside of the generator and transfer switch. We are currently working with electricians and engineers to get all equipment functional again. As the electricians and engineers continue to work on this equipment this evening there may be a few more interruptions in service. We are taking this time to perform any maintenance needed since we have already had a power outage and its the middle of the night on a weekend.

Currently all power is restored at this time but we are still working on getting everything up. Please be patient as we bring everything online. The Help desk should be open shortly."

Our both servers are down and unreachable still, their main site too is not loading up.

Posted by longng78, 07-11-2010, 07:28 PM
still down...

Posted by atjeu, 07-11-2010, 07:48 PM
We had an outage yesterday but were back up after about an hour and a half. We had another outage about 2 hrs ago and we are still working on it. All servers are down until we get all of this figured out. Our main site is down as well. Because the problems have happened a few times in 24 hrs we have decided to keep all servers down until a definitive solution is reached as there can be far more problems if servers are going up and down.

We believe we are close to having his all taken care of though and once we do we will be bringing everything back up and update all here.

We appreicate your patience and understanding.

Posted by atjeu, 07-11-2010, 09:29 PM
We are all back up now. We have manually gone through and brought up all servers that are not visibly up but there are still servers that need fsck run and other problems that we are working on.

Our main support server is currently down however so we cannot take support tickets. You can contact us on our chat channels as follows:

AIM - atjeusales
MSN - atjeuhosting@hotmail.com
Yahoo - atjeuhosting

As you have stated, your ticketing system is down but you are not logged into those IMs and my server is still down.

Posted by JonL, 07-11-2010, 10:48 PM
They are logged onto IM now and are helping me with my server. Sorry about my previous post.

Posted by pablius5k, 07-12-2010, 12:06 AM
Back as well, I hope Atjeu can give us a hint on what's really going on, and if they've really fixed the problem.

Posted by cyb, 07-12-2010, 01:31 AM
My server is still down. I tried to contact them via IM but nobody replies to me.

Posted by Masud, 07-12-2010, 06:36 AM
Ok so guys whats the issue? Any other DC in AZ faced this or its just the Atjeu?

I am pretty OK with it but once of my client has several hotel reservation portals on his dedicated server and he is pretty pissed with it.

2 times in 2 days and he is already checking his options! :|

This is to update on the issues at Atjeu's Data center this weekend.

We sustained a power outage on Saturday night at 8pm PST and 2pm PST on Sunday. When the power from the city grid fails everything is transferred over to our backup generator however this time there was a problem with the voltage regulator on our generator which caused it not to hold the power. This in turn caused problems with our UPS unit which created the downtime that we have experienced. We brought in a backup generator which we have on site now and when it was all hooked up and they tested it, we again had a drop in power for a few seconds but that it all it takes to take every server in the data center down so we had another downtime on Sunday evening.

Everything is stable now and we have had technicians working around the clock to get parts replaced on our generator and UPS units in case of another grid failure. The power grid has been stable for the last 18 hrs and all of our servers are up. We have technicians working non stop in the data center to fix and and all problems with servers that are outstanding right now. Please direct all support requests to our help desk and we will get you up as soon as we can if you are currently down.
