My server is down....

Posted by theraged, 07-16-2010, 04:19 PM
It's not just you! voxel.net looks down from here.

The site is down, my server is down. What the HECK just happened ?

I depend on this company to keep 100% uptime, and here is this RANDOM outage, without ANY notification..

Their site seems to work from here at the moment. Relying on a single host for 100% uptime is just naive. While you can receive a guarantee and receive compensation for falling under 100%, this doesn't mean you will actually have 100% uptime.

Up for me, no interruption in any link we have with Voxel in the 111 8th Avenue XO facility.

Also working for me as well...nothing seems to be wrong.

No outage here either, we have only had ~2 outages with voxel in the past 3-4 years.

I would recommend contact your dedicated server provider and gathering some information why your server went down. They should definitely assist you with that.

I'd recommend that you contact their support team about this

Must be a network routing problem from your isp to your dedicated server.

That's what I'm thinking also. In the future, you might want to verify it is down by using http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ and http://host-tracker.com/

I also noticed a network outage with voxel.

I'm not sure how widespread it was but I'm in LGA7 and there was definitely a 6 minute outage on 07/16/2010 15:13:23 CDT - 15:19:11 CDT.
