Managemybox.com server Down for 11 hours and not reply...

Posted by DannetStudio, 10-28-2010, 06:36 AM
Hi!, I have a dedicated server on Managemybox.com and It's completly dead from about 11 hours ago. No Ping, not ssh, and as usual lately in this company, no response from support, no response from outage alerts or reboot request, nothing.

Managemybox / managemyservices is like a phantom company, they just sent the invoice on time each month, but you can't expect an answer in a normal time for a hosting service from them or a reply with most than 4 words.

Someone else is experiencing something similar from yesterday with the company?

Regards
Daniel

I cant understand the situation nor the employee attitude. When I create a support ticket they simply close it without answer.

If there is any Managemyservices employee reading this forum, can you just answer what is happening? We need a reply or to know the real situation to know what to do and what to say to the people hosting on my server...

I think the same, its a dead company. Some days/weeks ago I have too a problem with paypal, they send me the invoice, I payed, but their system has not registered the payment so I still have recived a first, second and thirh payment overdue warning, with risk of server disconnection. After a lot of tickets and messages without reply, an employee answered me and he change the status of my bill to paid.

After that incident I bought a dedicated server on ThePlanet, and in the midst of migrating my sites to new server, this happens. I just wish I could access my latest backups to start again on the new server, but there is no way to connect the server or at least to talk with any employe to know the real situation, but im sure that they are there because they close my support tickets, this is very pathetic.

The server is up again.

No reply, no explanations, it just works again. I will migrate quickly to another company...

Edit: 23hs down.

New outage, it begins 14hs ago, the server is dead again.

They told me some days ago that they were moving all to new datacenters, and asked for my user and root password to migrate before a new outage and now its dead again. I'm still migrating to another server more serious, and this happens, I no longer know what to say to my customers, 2 days out in 10 ten days, is too much.

Of course, no reply from tickets or support messages, nothing. Managemybox / managemyservices is the worst experience I've had in hosting companies in 10 years of work on the internet, really.

Someone else is experiencing something similar? My server on managemybox is dead since 27hs, its just incredible.

I cant believe how they sell servers and web hosting and has not any kind of support or reply about the situation.

Always keep fresh offsite backups so you do not have all your eggs in one basket.

I just cant understand why a day they just disconnect everithing (or lose everithing) whoiout any message, its still down since 42 hs ago.

this is how Yomura works. A big "company" that do nothing just moving data from one datacenter to another all over the year without any notifications. Run fast away all those companies!

Yes sure, we should stay away from this company. I've finally migrated all my sites to servers on ThePlanet.

After 48hs of outage, Managemybox / Yomura reply me with "We are going to bring you online in Atlanta. Please standby" and minutes after "Did you not see XXX's direct response to you yesterday, try SSH this IP: xxx...". These IP is online, but the sites are OLD backups of my sites, I have lost 1 week of database entries, updated files, emails, every activity of the server on one week, and the daily WHM / Backup is not there!. Now Im waiting a reply and my files and backups again to synchronize my databases.

In conclusion, without any kind of warning, they changed my server IP, but not only IP, also server and datacenter location, without any notice to me. After two days without response and offline, they just send me an IP with a misconfigured server, with not IPs assigned and backups restored of 7 days before the "migration", missing folders, and all my previous backups are not copied, simply disappeared.

My issue was:

1.) In 13. September they didn't pay for dedicated servers so the Prague DC shut their servers off. Finally after two days they have paid, so we have been online again.

2.) 30.September - their main domain have expired so almost the whole 1.Oct their DNS servers were not working and our sites as well.

3.) 6.October - DC cut power again after not receiving the payments again. Our websites were down again for 2 days, until they paid.

4.) On 26 Oct. they started to move accounts to servers in French DC. First they have cut IP so noone could access websites, then moving for more than 1 day (without any notifications)

5.) Since 9th Nov. there is still website outage due to some error on server, so they are moving data to different servers now. Outage now for 4 days and still last.

Just a question... have anybody heard even 1 good word about hostings that are covered by Yomura?

seem company finally died , my server is down since 9 Nov , no response from them , no money back.

Try to move files directly from old server to new server.

Yes I tried, but the old server is a really old version of my old server, they just have transfered it to the new server but a week ago, so its not updated.

I think they have migrated the accounts 1 week ago to the new server, and now its available but with the old files (from 1 week ago), also they dont have copied the cpbackup folder, where I stored daily my backups, so Im not able to recover the backups of the day before the big outage.

Hi guys,

Any luck with Managemyservices? My server was online until about 4pm GMT yesterday afternoon, and it's been down now for about 21 hours. No reply from CS. Not sure if my server is being moved, or is just down. Desperate now for a back-up of my database at least, over 7 years of work on there.

No contact number and support not answering any emails - any ideas?!

Next time server comes online, immediately download your 7 years of work and move on. That's my recommendation.

I think its a dead company, this situation is very unfortunate, in my case, they just move the cpanel accounts to a new server, all in a new IP that they sent me on a ticket reply after 2 days, no more, they have also no assign my other 9 IPs on the server, and the worst part of this is that I have lost 7 days of work because they dont transfer any backup to the new server, and it seems they've transfer it 7 days before the outage, so 1 week of emails, file changes and work of my websites and all my customers hosting on my server are just missing.

Now after waiting for several days without answers, I have to tell my customers they lost a week of work, it hurts a lot the image of my company.

It's funny because managemybox sent the notice of payment for this month to my e-mail, I will try to have my money back from my last payment, surely in vain, but I will open a dispute in paypal. The money I've lost this month because of this problem is simply incalculable.

Get backups from somewhere like Webby Cart. You never know when your provider is just going to run away.
