We are currently experiencing some network issues within our Chicago facility and unfortunately at this time we do not have any ETA as to when this is going to be resolved. As you may have noticed, our own website which is hosted within the Chicago facility is affected. I do apologize for this incident and assure you that we are working to resolve this issue at earliest possible.

Thank you for your responds ,
Since I can't contact to email or phone and no email inform about this , so I just worry about my business , but I can understand this solution now.
How long it usually take to fix it ?
Most of my vps went down and my dedicated is working slowly , Curl function is not correct . Hope you can fix ít soon , don't need any bonus , just want my site back with normal server
Thank you

The emails/ticketing system is unfortunately not functional given the circumstances that the server hosting our own network of sites happen to be hosted within the same affected facility - though phone support is available at 800-900-7744 ex3. Unfortunately at this time I have no ETA as to when this will be taken care of. I appreciate your continued understanding and patience. I assure you that your accounts will be back as earliest as possible. Thank you.

how many percentage fixed ? all my clients are sitting to wait for site
Thank you

Ouch! Coming up on 10 hours since the OP's post. Hope this gets resolved quickly. Amir, out of interest - why is your site hosted on your own network? :/ Would have thought a company of your size would be willing to spend a few dollars a month for an external hosting account.

Posted by ProxyVPS, 11-12-2010, 07:57 AM
Amir ! How long it took for similar network issues in past ? Still waiting 12 hours over

Posted by TheCrabb, 11-12-2010, 08:10 AM
I've had my last "I'm sorry" from Amir! Over the past 2 years I have lost thousands of dollars, lost customers and lost personal friendships because I made the mistake of hosting with Micfo.

I am losing money hand over fist right now! AGAIN! Would it kill you to give us an ETA or at least a reasonable explanation as to why your servers had such a catastophic crash??

@techmixer there has been a core router failure at one of our facilities, waiting for Cisco engineers to investigate it

This is a great case for GSLB for the primary domains/support system of a web hosting provider. Something to consider once this all gets sorted out.

Hope you're able to get back up without too many casualties.

Posted by ayksolutions, 11-12-2010, 09:00 AM
Shouldn't this be moved to the Outage forum? I hope this does get resolved soon for everyone.

Posted by ProxyVPS, 11-12-2010, 09:40 AM
another 2 hours gone , still waiting for updates from amir

Posted by Amir, 11-12-2010, 10:02 AM
@ProxyVPS: Certainly, thank you for your continued patience and understanding! Much appreciated.

Posted by TheCrabb, 11-12-2010, 10:06 AM
I've got an ETA... bet I can migrate all my sites to a new host before Micfo comes up again!

I should have done this months ago! It's been nothing but one **** up after another for a year and a half!

Posted by Amir, 11-12-2010, 10:27 AM
@itsurfers: I'd say approximately few more hours and it should be fixed. I'll have a detailed report posted as to what happened once everything is taken care of.

Nice to hear it should be fixed within next hours , I will wait for that update

Posted by Amir, 11-12-2010, 10:40 AM
@Rick-RikeMedia: I see where you are coming from, though if we trusted our business in that facility, it meant that it was solid enough to host our customers' businesses too. Our clients business is our business.

Posted by Amir, 11-12-2010, 10:42 AM
@TheCrabb: I completely understand - I'd be as frustrated as you are. Thought unfortunately there are certain circumstances that we have little to no control. This incident happening after hours on Veteran Day didn't help the situation either.

I just found this post after investing why my online earnings had dipped over the past 48 hours. I hope Micfo can get this sorted very soon as it's costing me money. Ironically I was sent my annual invoice just a couple of days ago before they went offline!

For contingency my online business is split over 3 separate webhosts, just in case this ever happens. I've been with Micfo a long time and I can't remember anything as bad this before.

Posted by Amir, 11-12-2010, 11:02 AM
@digiwise: I know what you are referring to since we are on the same boat. As you know this is the only such incident that we have ever experienced. I won't try justifying this in any manner, all I can do is to take full responsibility and work with the team in order to take necessary measures to avoid such incidents from happening in future.

Posted by ProxyVPS, 11-12-2010, 11:13 AM
I used santrex last year , most of their server were broken , restart and shut down even offline daily , ticket take 3 days average to get responds from supporter .....too bad hosting provider I have ever used
Then I moved to Micfo with VPS and dedicated in the beginning of this year . All my VPS were staying on fast network with reliable price, their vps work great and run smoothly many programs with small memory in windown 2003 , that's too great for me , I hope they can keep this window and these type of vps forever ,most of issues were solved within 1 hours up to maximum is 3 hours .( in business working time , tickets usually get solved within 10 minutes )
Hope that this issue will be fixed within next 12 hours
Anyway I will still renew my invoices this month
And my apologize for title of topic , I wrote it when I saw homepage of micfo down....confusing and frustrating
Regards

I've been with Micfo since 2004, so I know they are a very good host. I'm glad Amir is taking time out to keep eveyone updated on this thread. Just hope it comes back online soon as none of my clients have noticed yet ;-)

Posted by Amir, 11-12-2010, 11:29 AM
@ProxyVPS: I'm glad you feel this way! As for the topic, nothing to worry about - since I'd be anxious if my upstream provider's website would be down too! Lots of lessons are being learned every day - this being no exception.

Posted by Amir, 11-12-2010, 11:30 AM
@digiwise: What can I say - I've been up all night and that's the least I can do! Appreciate the gesture and support you continue to show us!

Posted by windyday, 11-12-2010, 11:44 AM
I was waiting, I don't know for when it will be active.

Posted by Amir, 11-12-2010, 11:46 AM
Update: The network should be up and running in 10-15 minutes approximately. We will sen an announcement to all the clients as to what exactly happened, what steps are being taken to avoid such incidents from happening - AND every client affected by this outage is eligible for one-month credit.

Posted by ProxyVPS, 11-12-2010, 12:09 PM
Nice to hear that , I'm refreshing micfo.com every minute and waiting to see it online
Good job
Regards

Posted by itsurfers, 11-12-2010, 12:34 PM
I am running a constant ping. sick of waiting every minute from last 14 hours. the nightmare we have gone through and our office filled up with bloody angry calls from every cat and dog in the street.

Amir, please ensure this must not happen again and I hope we don't loose our data or any such thing. I won't be able to take that.

Thanks
Sunny

Posted by ProxyVPS, 11-12-2010, 12:42 PM
hmm still request timed out from my end (

Posted by Amir, 11-12-2010, 12:44 PM
@itsurfers: That's exactly what we are going to do. To take necessary pleasures to avoid such incidents from happening in future - your data is secure and safe.

Posted by Amir, 11-12-2010, 12:55 PM
Apologies for my oversight - it's taking slightly longer than we had anticipated.

Posted by ProxyVPS, 11-12-2010, 01:04 PM

How long it should last now ? few hours or days , pls tell so if few hours I will stay overnight to wait for it today
