how many downtimes have you got this already?

Posted by pueblosnet, 01-20-2011, 09:45 PM

I had 2 downtimes myself with a few hours each.

Not good for my client high traffic site, so i created a "cloud" server setup myself.
Atleast stable

I did not have any downtime on either of my gigenetcloud servers, not today anyways.

I got another 15 minutes downtime today for an "incoming attack" to the cloud as they told me a few minutes ago.

Didn't you go offline the other day with the another DDos attack?

Hello logart! are you using them for more time? I'm new there and my experiencie with the cloud for the moment it's not very good, it's stable normally?

Did you submit a support ticket at all? any response?

Posted by logart, 01-21-2011, 01:12 PM
@pueblosnet I have only been with them for a short time. I also subscribe to 4 other cloud hosts to evaluate them all.

Yes, I sent a ticket and their reply it's always very fast, about 5 minutes average, their support it's very good. But their cloud it's not very stable for my experience.

Hello,

We had a couple of large DDOS attacks. We have identified one device in our infrastructure which doesn't seem to like DDOS attacks > 5Gb/s. We will be removing this device on our end of the month maintenance. We also removed the customers causing this. We will be sending out an email shortly with more details.

I am sorry to hear your not having a stable experience, other then the DDOS attacks we had an isolated outtage first in 6 months a couple of weeks ago. We are working on adjusting certain parts of the infrastructure to minimize effect the ddos attacks > 5gb/s. Also we are going to be announcing some changes and updates.

Not to go offtopic, but that statement sounds disturbing to me. Not the *removed* part, but the *causing* part. Unless you really mean it, most of the times the site owners are the victims, the hopeless targets, not the source of the attacks.

More downtime now, and last night... I'm starting don't believing their replies.
