123Systems VPS

Posted by Negizmo, 02-03-2011, 12:42 AM
It seems like my VPS at 123Systems on their node 'VZ31DLTX' is down.

SolusVM shows it to be down, and all attempts to boot it give no joy.

Additionally, SolusVM is quite slow and it seems now that their own DNS servers are down for their site and so that is currently inaccessible as well.

update; Looks like their site is back, but SolusVM is still slow and VPS still not able to boot.

I have VPS on node VZ29DLTX & VZ33DLTX... down as well.

Still down, and without any reply to my ticket.

We are still working on the issues in the Dallas area, please have some patience with us. We are currently bringing everything back online.

Patience has never been an issue for me; I just feel it'd have been nice to at least have been aware that there was a problem, if not what the problem is.

Andrew,

Thanks for the update. I know you guys are working hard on it. My VPS on node 30 is up. The one in node 33 is still down.

Much appreciated!

Mine on 31 came up earlier today but is now back down.

Curious if you could maybe share some details of why it's happening, at least?

Thanks.

We will have everything up within a few hours, a rough ETA would be 2-3 hours give or take an hour. We know it has been up/down for the past 2 days but once we get the issues resolved everything will return to normal.

Thanks for understanding,

Alot of other people aren't so easy going about it although everyone has problems.

Andrew,

Please don't take this as a sign of me becoming impatient, just a question stemmed from curiosity, for the most part.

It's now around 4 hours later and stuff still seems to be the same -- which normally I would just keep quiet about, but in another thread you mention the issue being software related and requiring a patch. This seems to make it sound like the issue is 'out of your hands,' and any estimate you give is more of a 'guess.'

I'd love to be corrected, though.

This is absolutely crazy. I literally signed up for my account last night, and it's already down? I know that the other servers or whatever are down too, but I barely got to use the service!

I got mine for sale from lowendbox, and I was a little skeptical about setting up and managing my own VPS, and this is just really making all my nightmares and ideas associated with a VPS come true.

The posting that Andrew put said a few hours at "3pm" its now 9pm and still nothing. When you go to their site, 123systems and look under announcements there is nothing! You think they would post updates/announcements there.

We do not utilize the announcements section of WHMCS.

For the sake of security exploits i will not comment on what happened, Everyone should be ensured nothing was rooted or lost.

I have been able to establish a approx. ETA for everyone however.

10:30 PM GMT -5 (Or sooner)

All dallas issues have been resolved and everyone's container should be back online momentarily. All server(s) are currently in the process of booting back online.
