There appear to have been some routing issues (as in their entire network disappeared from the Internet). It's fine now, however.

BurstNET is completely down for me.

Posted by Hostify Networks, 04-14-2011, 01:25 AM
I spoke too soon. It's still going up and down. My apologies.

Its been in and out for 25 minutes for me. I will submit a ticket just to be on the safe side if they aren't aware.

Also, I live 40 minutes from Scranton, PA and have been having trouble with a few other websites during the same times I can't reach my BurstNet server.

Yeah, still haven't been able to get the support ticket in. Hopefully someone else did in a brief period of the support site being up.

Same here. Couldn't access mine for almost two hours so far.

Their reseller told me it may be because of the network upgrade being carried out. Is this the case?

This looks like an issue on one segment at BurstNET. Our services (dedi and VPS) are all running fine, but pinging your IP fairly locally (Newark, NJ) gives packet loss:

--- 173.212.215.155 ping statistics ---
53 packets transmitted, 26 received, 50% packet loss, time 52036ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 11.432/11.541/11.680/0.085 ms

I presume you have a ticket open at BurstNET Support with tracerts showing the issue?

EDIT: We're not seeing any loss to BurstNET's main site:

--- 66.96.192.202 ping statistics ---
50 packets transmitted, 50 received, 0% packet loss, time 49086ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 11.496/11.648/12.217/0.186 ms

I know (from another thread) that you've had issues yourself with a VPS at BurstNET, but making claims like that is just foolhardy, don't you think?

After all, it can be so easily disputed by other customers monitoring their services at BurstNET.

For example, we monitor at 1-minute intervals from 5 different locations and the result for April so far is:

2011-April Outages: 0 Uptime: 100.0000%

Last night one of our providers decided to perform some maintenance last night without informing us. The connection kept going up and down for hours. Once we figured out what was going on, we informed anyone who sent in a ticket.

Did this provider's name begin with "Cog" by any chance? If so I'll set up another monitor that uses them, as all our existing monitors seem to use your other connections (all of which have been rock solid)

Funny thing: The provider asked us to not tell our clients. No idea why. So I can neither confirm nor deny your question.

Funny thing: I can narrow it down to just a couple of possible routes/networks. Monitor #6 will be installed tonight

So don't tell who the provider is, only write a 16bit integer here
