SpeedySparrow :: Mild Outage

Posted by Sparrow-Sean, 04-23-2011, 08:07 PM
Hello Everyone,

Just an update that SpeedySparrow has changed it's main site from Knownhost to ServInt, our main site will be unavailable until the IP has propagated across to the new network and hardware.

Our main site has propagated across but there is some outage on our "my.speedysparrow." address, our forums may also be still propagating at this time.

We will have everyone updated once we have more information.

If anyone needs further assistance can you please leave me an update via PM as our main e-mail addresses are still in propagation.

Thank you.

Network Upgrade:

This is hard to discuss because GNAX has advised an upgrade from the 25th April 2011, however, we are encountering major IO/SAN issues at present and this has caused over 16hrs of intermittent downtime, IO wait times up and down from 10% to 50% and these have not shifted for quite some time.

GNAX has been advised and we have not received any responses for the past 5hrs and we cannot continue to wait for these issues to fix themselves up, we urgently need GNAX to resolve these issues because it is costing us more downtime than what the server/cloud is worth to us.

We are hoping for these issues to be resolved very soon, though at the moment these SAN issues are related to GNAX and we are not getting very far in regards to Support nor are we getting any steady servers, I have a few complaints from customers and I really do not need more of these issues.

As affected clients you will be credited un-conditionally and we will try and have you updated further throughout the day.

Thanks Mike.

This is still a slight issue but all customers are being moved into a new Datacenter and a new server within the next 24-48hrs.
