enoth networks what's going on we really get tired

Posted by france-today, 05-16-2011, 01:00 PM
hey guys what's going on with the enoth team our vps is down from 8 days every day they tell us the problem will be solved after some hours now we are in the day number 8 and still waiting

now they stop answering tickets can you believe a ticket not answered from 5days and i sent another one from 3 days also still not answered
they said there is a raid problem can specialist here tell us how many days it take to solve this problem because in enoth they are not telling us now it's 8 days how many days we should wait more

enoth was the best for years for us but this time we really get tired we really get tired morally they made us really upset we are in the second week with out any new information is this possible we just want to know the truth why they don't tell us it if it needs one month to wait for the server to be online again please tell us wait one month but don't tell us it will be online after some hours and find ourselves in the day 8 and it's still ofline

You are a very patient person I will give you that. Down for 8 days? I would be looking for another host. I can understand a network outage out of their control but to ignore tickets and stop taking calls...

OP: Hang on, are you talking about enoth or enotch?

OP never said they stopped taking calls.

If it is indeed Enotch Networks, someone should just give them a ring (not email, talk to someone!) their phone number is on the front page of their website ...

maybe fixing this raid problem will take a lot of time i have read in another thread some one talking about 2 to 3 weeks

Been down over a week here. Have two VPS with them, one has been great, next to no down time (86 days uptime) but my other VPS has managed maybe 3 days at a time and now its totally gone.

I would move elsewhere, hardware issues do happen but over 8 days is pretty crazy.

Is it fair? Not really but if folks spent 2 or 3 years working on something, surely I'd hope they would have a personal backup.

Even a perfect host can have issues that cause data loss. You must always have a back-up. And preferably a back-up of your back-up.

8 days should be more than enough time to get a new server, install it and reprovision everything from the failed server on the new one. Whether there are backups or data loss is a different thing... But if you consider your information in anyway valuable you should always have your own external backups, no matter what your provider promises.

day number 9 all are still down

Is there a reason why you guys are not wanting to call them up instead?

It's stated so clearly that they have 24/7 Support : 1-800-871-3764

Call them, ask them about it and see what they say. That's the best and easiest solution to get this problem resolved. Why not just call them? I would have done that on day 3 instead of waiting for 9 days for them to update you on your ticket or etc.

they say there admins are working on it from 9 days and they have no eta they dont know when this will be solved they say just wait untill server comback online and you will get updated in a ticket that's what i have got from there support a fiew minutes ago

I have a VPS with them which I just renewed for another year.
And my two IPs that they claim will take back 2 weeks ago is still here.

Not complaining to have 4 IPs
