Posted by zidit, 06-04-2011, 01:48 PM
Hi,

I'm at hostpolat node VPS02 down for over 9 hours. try to boot, reboot in SolusVM but not success. Still down. Ticket already sent to support but waiting for reply.

Thank you

The best way to find out is to drop them a ticket or call them. Nine hours is a rather long time, are you sure it's not on your end?

Ticket already sent but still not receive the last reply for fix

I am quite sure that is server-end problem. Maybe Justin from Hostpolar that only 17 years old scam and not pay the server cost.

Down time is acceptable. BUT down time without any fix is suck. Hostpolar start to suck now!!

Hello,

Nobody is scamming anyone, our server is down correct, we are awaiting our service provider to provide us details of this downtime, clients will be credited accordingly because of the downtime. VPS02 is a brand new server we just opened, if any clients want to move to VPS01, we can do so once VPS02 is back online. We apologize for this downtime and are also offering all current clients up to 3 free SSL certificates.

We will update you as soon as we have more information.

Thanks!

P.S. We encourage all clients to use our support ticket system through our client portal, we will update you thoroughly through there and try to keep up on WHT here.

At 1:32 AM EST our datacenter WeLinkNYC has told us they are investigating the issue and downtime now, we will update this thread and all clients. Please submit tickets through the client portal for credit for the downtime. We hope to have you up as soon as possible.

Posted by FractionHost, 06-05-2011, 02:05 AM
At 1:58 AM EST time WeLinkNYC our data center has informed us the following:
"We've been unable to reboot the boxremotely via DRAC or via the PDU. We're dispatching from the office to LGA04 now."

We are awaiting further updates and are working as quickly as possible to get everyone back online on VPS02, only around 8 clients are effected.

At 2:25 AM EST time WeLinkNYC our datacenter has informed us the following:

"It appears VPS02 was halted and would not wake on power. It is now booting all containers."

We will update this thread with when all containers are back online.

Posted by FractionHost, 06-05-2011, 02:32 AM
At 2:30 AM EST time WeLinkNYC our datacenter has informed us that all containers are booted. Clients on VPS02 can request a credit through your client portal, just submit a ticket to billing.

Thanks and we apologize for this issue!

@HostPolar, the OP started this thread at 1:48 PM EST yesterday afternoon, already claiming 9 hours of downtime. Assuming this is correct, who dropped the ball here? Was there simply a delay in you picking up the issue and acting on it, or was your DC delayed in resolving the issue?

Based on your posts, it appears to me that your DC, WeLinkNYC, was only informed of the issue at around the same time you responded to this thread at around 1:30 AM EST today. It's great that they were able to get someone out there and fix the issue within an hour, but could have downtime been minimized here?

Hi there,

Just need to chime in on this thread as it appears we're simply being relayed thru HostPolar onto this thread.

WeLink is not experiencing any downtime in terms of network or power performance, and all services are running properly. This was an isolated issue in which we dispatched from our office to the datacenter upon discovering the box was unreachable via out-of-band reboot systems in <15 minutes.

Glad to see the constant updates and ability to bring the node back online.

VPS02 is damned by the mighty Gods of web hosting. Still down. Prompt ticket response from Justin, at least.

We are currently awaiting updates from WeLinkNYC, the server appears to be online with them but we are currently further looking into the issue and hope to have everyone up shortly, all clients will be credited.

Any update from WeLink with 2.30 hrs downtime?

Posted by quad3datwork, 07-07-2011, 01:46 AM
It's nice and all that you post all updates in this thread. I guess affected clients are informed via other direct means?

Just to plug in - WeLink is not experiencing any power / network outages at this time. Just like the previous outage, this was an isolated issue with this server - in which we dispatched to the facility in under 15 minutes.

I think everyone should understand that from your first response. No one is saying your DC is down, from my understanding its a faulty node in your DC.

Do you try reset your root password on SolusVM?

Posted by gecox, 07-09-2011, 12:25 AM
how can i do that?

Posted by WootWoot, 07-09-2011, 12:32 AM
Your HostPolar welcome email shall include SolusVM's login details. If the password was omitted, send them a ticket : https://hostpolar.com/clients/contact.php. I'm pretty sure WHT isn't their official help desk

Posted by gecox, 07-09-2011, 12:36 AM
yes the login credentials for solusVM's but the pass was omit, but justin give me one, and i can login into solusVM's but... if i try login on my vps whit the putty i cant acces, and i need root acces to install all package, cPanel its not urgency

Posted by WootWoot, 07-09-2011, 12:40 AM
In SolusVM home page, click on your VPS hostname. In "System Control" category, choose "Root Password". Enter a new root password in the prompt, hit "Change" button and BAM!

Posted by gecox, 07-09-2011, 12:41 AM
i change the root password 1 minute ago, but if i try acces on putty,im still have the text " access denied "

Posted by gecox, 07-09-2011, 12:52 AM
i just do not understand why I can not login jajaja i wanna cry jajajajaja

Posted by gecox, 07-09-2011, 04:26 AM

Posted by LV-Matt, 07-09-2011, 04:34 AM
Have you tried submitting a support ticket?

Posted by gecox, 07-09-2011, 12:43 PM
yes i submit 3 or 4 tickets but just says me "Hi Eduardo,

I can get all that setup for you, I just need some information from you."

or

"I can login fine into SSH, are you using Putty? If your using the console in SolusVM that login is different."

but way too slow to respond, i have a "1 1/2" whit my vps but im can not make nothing, i can acces to install cpanel. really I am sooo disappointed

Posted by gecox, 07-09-2011, 02:42 PM

I have a question, if the site is down, how you notify me that it is ready the installation of cPanel???

Posted by gecox, 07-09-2011, 04:49 PM
any update from hostpolar?

Posted by gecox, 07-09-2011, 05:03 PM
main site of hostpolar, online again

Posted by kpmedia, 07-10-2011, 03:52 PM
I've been using my VPS at Hostpolar extensively for the past 4-5 days, developing a site, and there's not been one second of downtime that I've seen. So it's clearly affecting only certain servers, not a situation where all of Hostpolar is melting down.

Just wanted to add some perspective.

Thanks.
