You can always get to the Hosts website that seems to never fail with any host.

Of course when it comes to your own site everything is down.

I submitted a ticket a long time ago.

If you mean while your VPS is down. The sending mail server will keep trying (how long is hard to say for sure) and when your VPS comes back you should see all the email start coming in.

Hello,

I would like to apologize for our recent downtime. It was unexpected and also unacceptable. Our affected clients will be emailed within the next day or so explaining exactly what happened and what we'll be doing to make up for it.

Please accept our apologies for this situation.

Regards!

I also have a vps with GenVPS and it has been offline for 3 days and counting.

I have a lot of unhappy clients at the moment but i think the worst part is how it reflects on my business.
Is anyone else having dowtime issues with them at present? Im assuming there are a lot more affected and not
just me as the main Genvps.com website is also offline.

It's called being a junk host and using FDCservers. Probably one of those servers in a card board box...
0 respect for FDC server powered hosting providers.

That box was sharktech not FDC. Granted, it was FDC's DC and some of their locations are less than amazing visually

Is there anything can be done? I-m sitting with a large bunch of very unhappy clients at the moment lol. Tried getting in touch via facebook, twitter this forum and a few others . . nothing.

Move on. I just searched GenVPS in WHT and found 3 pages of topics with the words downtime included in the title..

Not to mention my own personal, previous experience with them. It seems they are all up for apologizing and saying its unacceptable, but not so up for doing something about it. Just my honest opinion.

im happy enough to move its just the sites i dont have external backups for i would like to get a hold of. Turning out to be a little bit of a disaster. how are you for uptime vmport?

I think it would be highly appreciable if genvps shut their doors giving the customers a much earlier notice so that they can move the files. This would really benefit customers on a long run. Unfortunately I don't see a future for genvps with the way its going for past some months now.
