I'm not familiar with the downtime 6-7 months back. How long did it last then? And did you get an explanation once it was all over?

Hopefully, given the previous downtime, you have an up to date backup. Depending on how long it's been down for, and depending on the reasons for the previous down time, I'd be looking to move, and give my backup to a new host.

i agree with james - get your latest backup join a new host and cut your losses.

Host-tracker.com says the domain has expired. Has the business closed?

We didn't notice a down time a half of a year ago. Did they fix it within the day?

The ip address the domain pointed to is dead as well 96.30.29.42.

yes, that is the info I saw also, the last outage they had was a complete loss, there was no backup that they have, but of course I had one that was about a month old, now I have one that is only a few days old........the problem is that I gave them money for an entire year of hosting only like 3 months ago.....I'm really pissed

and like I said they didnt even write to their twitter account like the last time.....and this time there is nothing, no communication, and yes the phone goes to a voicemail.....I just might have to cut my losses if this isn't resolved by tomorrow....what the hell are they doing. ....I'm thinking liquid web?

Posted by mikew2a, 08-26-2011, 04:30 PM
who's back up and running?.....not itsjusthosting.com they have totally signed off the air.

whoever you go with they should be able to install your backup free of charge. But double check first maybe with someone on live chat or email the sales team.

I really would cut your losses and switch.

If your new host has a 30-day money back guarantee, you could always use that if they come back online!

Thats a bit naughty james! Also why would you want to go back.

I say go use james hosting for 30 days then demand money back as per his suggestion lmao. Sorry James couldnt resist.

This company is not having a good month it seems, several people have complained their sites are down. Hopefully you can get this resolved, but like others said if this is a chronic issue it might be time to seek out other business.

I wasn't expecting him to need to return to his original host.

But: If the only reason he's got for holding out in hope on the original host, and not switching right away to get the site back up, is the fact he's already paid for 12 months, then he's always got the option I outlined. I agree, it's naughty. What I was trying to do was get the situation unstuck.

Appears to be working from here as of now. Just another one of those little reminders that in place of allowing your heart to skip a beat, get current backups of your content!

Posted by mikew2a, 08-26-2011, 10:35 PM
I dont understand how this is occurring, I tested the availability of itsjusthosting.com from multiple servers around the globe and the U.S. and they all concur that it is not reachable I willjust wait and see another 48hrs and then take action if nothing happens.

And, not only that, but the email servers are not reachable, I am perplexed.

Where are you guys anyway?
