Posted by ericgregory, 12-06-2011, 10:54 AM
**This maintenance & upgrade event only effects Colo@ customers at our 34 Peachtree St. Facility**

We’re always working to improve our network and provide you with great service. To that end, we will be performing maintenance and hardware upgrades at our 34 Peachtree facility in Atlanta.

Our network team will be installing upgraded route processors into two of our core routers at 34 Peachtree. In addition to faster route processing, these upgrades will provide additional features to further support IPv6. Also realized will be additional overall packets per second over our network.

We anticipate only 15 minutes of network downtime per core router but we have scheduled for 30 minutes in case there are any issues. The maintenance and upgrades will take place at the following time:

_____________________________________________________________________

When:
  • December 8, 2011
  • 11:00pm – 11:30pm

What:
  • Route processor upgrade on core routing equipment at 34 Peachtree facility.

During this scheduled time there will be zero network connectivity for some customers. All power and cooling will remain up and running. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but please rest assured, we will restore connectivity as quickly as possible. Our network team is upgrading one routing core at a time (total of two). If you have redundant circuits you will not see any network outage at all.

**All customers were notified several days ago, but in an effort to reach anyone who may have not received the message we are utilizing any and all channels available to us to reach our customers.**
