Yep, it's down. That's the first VPS downtime I've seen in six months.
Timestamp on my monitoring tool puts it between 4:48am and 4:58am CST.

I can echo that. My Pingdom monitoring is in single minute intervals and reported the outage as of 4:50am CST.

I too am within the ip block mentioned above.

Hello,

I am their tech support manager. There was a network issue at the Atlanta DC last night which made all servers including those that serve our own pages inaccessible. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. The issue has been corrected and all should be reachable now. We are still waiting to hear back from them on what caused the issue. Thank you for your patience.

Jaguar is down again???

Posted by BeZazz, 01-13-2012, 02:22 AM
Yep and this time my server is down also

Posted by HostGamma, 01-13-2012, 02:24 AM
Yep looks like they are down. Can't access neither their homepage nor our reseller IP with them.

Posted by HostAVPS, 01-13-2012, 02:30 AM
You would think a company of their level would know better than to host their main site, forums, control panel etc in the same datacenter as the one they have all their clients servers and their own production servers in.

Posted by Masud, 01-13-2012, 02:32 AM
This is kinda frustrating as it has happened twice in as many days!

Posted by HostGamma, 01-13-2012, 02:33 AM
Back online now, but really slow. The recent outages just do not look like JaguarPC, hope they find a permanent solution for this.

That doesn't make any sense to me. If you don't have any faith in your own service, why the heck should anybody else? I can understand having a special emergency contact/status type domain (like Leaseweb's NOC has), but to host your entire site at another company has always come across as amateur in my books.

At most, some hosts use third-party support systems, like Zendesk. (But I've seen Zendesk down, too.)

Let's also not forget that there are mitigating issues with network that can be outside the control of hosts or even datacenters. I've seen Telia down, for example, and access was severed to servers I have in The Netherlands. The datacenter and host were up -- but there was no way to connect to it.

Hello,

All should be working now. Don't forget to check our announcements forums when something like this happens.

When your site is down?
Are the forums located at another datacentre?

It's weird, I have 2 VPS in their LA and Dallas Data Centre, but didn't received any downtime alerts.

The downtime impacted only a portion of their Atlanta location.

The network issue was yesterday morning in the early hours and affected only the Atlanta DC. Our forums were not accessible at that time but for other issues being reported in this thread, the forums were available and updated. We also update via Twitter and are discussing other avenues to be sure communication with our customers is maintained.
