Massive Outages Across the US?

Posted by nitrojane, 03-02-2012, 11:29 AM
Last weekend two new clients I'm working with both had outage problems - one had a massive spam intrusion while the other has been shut down until we get the site clean. Both are on different hosts.
Is there a theme here?

Sounds like both of these cases are just individual servers and not entire datacenters?

I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

Let alone "massive outages across the US",

Does appear to be greatly exagerrated...

After hitting post button I realized that that was over the top...please forgive me...
Perhaps it was a 'sucks to be me' weekend......it happens
Now, to the point, where do we go to get insight regarding hack attacks and whether outages that we experience are simply part of the ordinary hacking or part of some type of other event? Who tracks this type of information and is it posted somewhere? I'll also search further, but was looking to the community here first as many of you are far more informed and have much greater experience with these things than others of us (like me).
As I thought further, these make 4 separate sites that got hit in the past 3 months - 3 different hosting services - fortunately (or unfortunately) only one site was taken completely down.
Promise - no more overstatement crap, sorry!

I'd say contact your datacenter?
