I wouldn't believe much their page says after the thread mentioned above (which has probably been deleted)

Perhaps after being called out by WHT members for fake reviews and potentially, license evasion. They realised there was no point carrying on.

Hope you get things sorted.

Never believe uptime, unless it's verified by a third party...

Even then the host might have just been lucky

Sad to hear that, anyhow next times ya should pay a deep research on the host that you are interested. Good luck to you and do update us in near future with your new host.

All my hostseo.org sites are down right now. I can't log into WHM and I can't load any of the sites. I'm on their EU servers.

No response to ping.

downforeveryoneorjustme.com confirms they are offline.

Bummer, too. I was digging the EU IP addresses.

(yes, I know the IP address on which your site is hosted has no bearing on its SERPs, let's not derail this dicussion).

Has anyone called to ask why they're offline?

Sounds like I should back up all my stuff as soon as it comes back online.

My sites are back online, but loading very slowly.

If they are loading slowly could be DNS resolution not fully propagated yet if they moved servers. Try IP.

They could also have had the old server turned on so they can back it up and move to the new location.

And in order to get "SEO hosting", you have to realize you're mostly dealing with slimy, lying, unethical people -- many of which are outright thieves and scammers. It's not too far difference from hosting warez or obscenity. It's not desired use of the internet, so mainstream quality hosts avoid such shenanigans at all costs.

I'm not the least bit surprised when stuff like this happens.

The blame falls with the customers -- stop being stupid and buying crap.

I think it's misleading to suggest to the customer that the IP address that your site is hosted on could possibly affect its ranking. I haven't seen too many hosts do this, but some people suggest it in the forums sometimes.

But there are reasons to not want all your sites on the same IP. For example, if you have two sites in the same niche, it may be advantageous to put them on different IP addresses.

That being said, the industry does seem a bit shady, and at least 50% of the hosts I've seen that offer multiple IP addresses seem to have unanimously bad reviews online.

Hello,
There are really no advantages on this. The only reason I can remotely think of is to separate Adult sites to prevent them from being blocked in some firewalls. This has no impact to SEO of course.

The walls around blackhat backlinks is starting to close and linking to sites from multiple class C IP addresses is no longer effective.

If you want to improve Search Engine Rankings, focus on content. From a hosting standpoint, the ONLY 2 things a host can control is Page Load Speed and Uptime. Of course since HostSEO had some serious downtime and speed issues today, it could have impacted some of the search rankings.

One more site was down yesterday for 5 hours on EU hosting because of "unable to connect to database" error. Looks like they were moving the databases. The support was useless telling me that they have nothing to do with this and the site is OK.
I think it's better to move sites elsewhere to more reliable hosting.
