TMS (Tailor Made Servers)

Posted by bear, 04-25-2012, 08:21 PM
One box after another has just dropped off line, and I can't reach TMS to get some help. Trace dies inside COLO4Dallas on all. Checked externally, all down.

Anyone else affected by this?

Mee too, same problem, but not all boxes

One of the servers i'm testing has 50% packet loss, but i can enter it

It seems a network problem, not a power issue

Just had most pop back up (naturally, seconds after posting). Good deal if it's done already.

Network problem for the last hour or so. Seeing varying amounts of packet loss on various network segments. I know for a bit there we were 100% down with some servers and 0% on others... now they are all doing between 30-50% packet loss.

See! SEE! I told Jose he should have gone with Linksys instead of D-Link for the routers.

Just kidding, they recently switched over to fancy Juniper gear.

Yeah, I've been down for over 2 hours. Jose says they're working on it.

Network seems stable at the moment. *fingers crossed*

everything working.

satisfied, as usual

Our apologies for the inconvenience. A switch malfunctioned and decided to randomly wreak havoc with our network by assuming it was the gateway IP for all VLANs. Our Juniper was wrestling control over the IPs, but it inevitable went back and forth until we were able to pinpoint where this was coming from and put it offline.

Apologies to those asking for an ETA on the issue that went unanswered (or perhaps inappropriately answered by my stressed out self). Whenever a situation like this arises, our ETA is always ASAHP (As soon as humanly possible). I'm sure there will be problems in the future, so when they arise, that is our official ETA. =)

Thanks for the update and fix, Jose. If not for your own site disappearing, I wouldn't have worried.
