Is jaguar Pc Down and its vps nodes also any updates plz ?

Posted by phinsup, 05-16-2012, 03:15 PM
It would appear so, we have a couple of boxes there, both are slow.

Posted by YourOwnHostingServer, 05-16-2012, 03:15 PM
my 2 vpses are down completly

Posted by 1script, 05-16-2012, 03:18 PM
It's not completely down but VERY painfully slow. I was able to log into my client interface and the list of the VPSes currently down is the longest I've ever seen. Something bad must have happened system-wide.

I wish JaguarPC can put out a statement about what's going on!

Hostingzppm/Resellerzoom now appear offline too as well as their services. Can anyone from their organization respond to what is going on?

Posted by YourOwnHostingServer, 05-16-2012, 03:21 PM

All my websites and my VPS are down, it seems that the problems returned to jaguarpc.

Posted by HostedInEarth, 05-16-2012, 03:36 PM
They are having routing issues. Packets are rerouted and lost.

This is the THIRD time they have the same problem.

Still down...

Posted by dwd_za, 05-16-2012, 03:37 PM
*sigh* - all our VPS's are inaccessible and so too are all our sites!

Can't even logon to the JaguarPC website to view forums or even log a ticket!

Anyone from Jag care to let us know what is going on?

Posted by trekcom, 05-16-2012, 03:37 PM
My Vps is down and I am unable to reach any of their sites, ie;support, sales, nothing. I have been trying their server with the intent to move to them but now I am having second thoughts.

All my reseller and VPS are timing out.

Posted by Hexpress, 05-16-2012, 03:57 PM
no way to send a ticket, jaguarpc.com is inaccessible, we have not received any information, any representative of jaguarpc should answer us this way.

It's a network issue. I can see my VPS just fine from Europe.
But it's down from N.A.

It was down everywhere for less than 10 minutes, when the downtime was first report in this thread.
It came back for Europe right away.

Apparently the problem is solved for now.

Posted by katrina1, 05-16-2012, 04:12 PM
We apologize for the outage. It was a DDOS attack which has now been mitigated.

Posted by Zachary McClung, 05-16-2012, 04:13 PM
Thank you for your patience. We were hit with a massive DDOS. All systems are back up now.

Site seems up on my end. Try running a traceroute so as their representatives here can see your connection problem.

Tiger server is down for 3.5 hours already.

And those terrible words, "RAID is being fixed" have been uttered. It means there are several days of downtime ahead.

Looks like it was the last time I wish to witness it, time to move away. I was with JaguarPC for many years, but looks like all the good things are going finally away

I'm sorry you feel that way. The server is online now even though the RAID is initializing and the fsck was very quick. I hope you do stick around.

The problem is it's becoming a usual event, with the same scenario: Web server goes down, we are determining the reason, sorry, RAID is being fixed, just wait a day or so.

Tiger was down for 3+ hours at least three times during the last year. Correct me if I am wrong. Looks like hardware is at fault, since server becomes quite slow at times, even for purely static sites.

Originally, my sites were on Demetrius. But after it was down consequently several times, I asked to be moved to a healthier server. And now I see exactly the same symptoms I saw first on Demetrius.

Four hours of downtime is too much for the company that states: "We guarantee your site will be up all day everday for 365 days of the year (366 if its a leap year) or we will back it up with a refund" (I suggest correcting typo "everday" on the site's page),

None of the mentioned hardware faults resulted in any refund (please correct me if I am wrong). As I was told, the above isn't covered by the mentioned guarantee. Just wait until the sites are back up.

To me, it's certainly enough this time, unless my account is moved this time to really stable server.

Update: as I wrote the last correction, sites are down again, from the viewpoint of monitoring services. From mine, as well. I hope weekend is enough for both restoring RAID and for my finding the alternative hosting.

Tiger server is up again, approx 24 hours of downtime. However:

"There is a bad drive in the raid array which we will replace later and rebuild the raid array", as said on maintenance subforum.

To those interested: it means in the nearest future we will have 16 to 24 more hours of downtime. I wonder, did it take the complete RAID rebuild to understand the drive is faulty and must be replaced? Currently RAID is degraded and, if I am not mistaken, doesn't work at full speed.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience Tiger has caused you. Have you requested your VPS to be moved to a new server? If not, please submit the ticket and e-mail me the ticket #. I'll make sure it is handled quickly.

To begin with, I am talking about a reseller (WHM/CPanel) account I have at JaguarPC. It is hosted on Tiger server. No VPSes there.

Also, yes, I posted (in fact, escalated the original) ticket to request account transfer.

So far, I was told that account move is impossible until the RAID problem is solved. However, on maintenance forum there's no information on when it is about to be solved (by replacing a faulty drive).

So, in short, I was told "we can move your account, but we don't know when". I am already considering further escalating the ticket to have more precise response.

I browsed my previous requests to Support, those 3 years old and older. I must admit that the Support staff might be less courteous those days, but definitely more professional and helpful.

You could bet what happens earlier - I will move remaining network assets off JaguarPC, or RAID be fixed and the account moved to stabler server. At the moment, it's 50% - 50%.

Tiger server is down again - drive replaced, RAID being rebuilt... all those common comments.

One thing I can't understand: was it too against rules to inform users 12-24 hours in advance about the maintenance?
