yeah, our server with them is down at the moment.

Posted by toro, 06-15-2012, 02:42 AM
There is a backhaul problem with a transport circuit. We are working with our provider to get this resolved immediately.

We do not have an eta at this time.

Thank you for your patience.

this time is offline, when to repair? the domain STAMINUS.NET
does not resolve

In my opinion, this is bad public relations. You guys at Staminus should have announced this on your Twitter & Facebook. This is COMPLETE outage for the entire company including your website. Customers are confused, spamming the Facebook page, calling in/slamming support and worried about their own entities. I'd expect more professionalism from a company like you guys. There is absolutely no word about this anywhere. I decided to check webhostingtalk but many don't know about this site.

waiting patiently

Posted by lelesui, 06-15-2012, 03:35 AM
I'm watching on this. why you don't post an message on your facebook page or twitter?

If I had my own datacenter I would host my site on a global cdn and have a live clone in another datacenter so that in the event your entire network goes down your website doesn't go down with it. Inevitably if Staminus loses any customers over this it will more than likely be due to the lack of communication than the actual downtime of their customers.

Take my advise Staminus and duplicate your entire website on another box on another network for the sake of not only your customers but your overall stability as a company.

I must agree that the clear lack of communication on the part of Staminus is ludicrous and if I ran my company the same way I would be losing customers by the minute.

not their fault I guess................... hopefully can be resolved before this evening. I want to enjoy my friday evening

I totally agree! This is what is making me want to change hosts. Can you not give us an update or have a reliable website host backup plan? It is very irritating. They should be professional enough to let customers know what is going on - this would make me HAPPY and wait patiently. I'm pissed they just leave us in the dark.

em...so staminus is famous for fighting DDOS, but beat down by this kind of network issue ?

Posted by funtoosh, 06-15-2012, 03:46 AM
Matt/T0r0 I need some ETA, can't run business in this way, atleast reply and confirm if it is going to be fixed within next few hours or not, if not i'll better arrange a different server for my clients, i can't keep them down in this way.

Thanks

Posted by robbiecook, 06-15-2012, 03:48 AM
I agree, this is completely ridiculous. Staminus should have better communication and this kind of downtimetime is against their agreements. They're not keeping with the 99.9% uptime SLA agreement to customers. I've been researching and noticed that they've had a lot of recent downtime. As a customer, this is very discerning.

Posted by lelesui, 06-15-2012, 03:50 AM
no message, no backup, no contacter, phone is busy, no twitter reply, no facebook reply.
Oh, am i living in 20th century?

Posted by chasingsol, 06-15-2012, 03:58 AM
Any kind of update would be nice. Twitter and Facebook would be good too, I only found this thread because someone posted it to your Facebook wall!

Posted by PeterPP, 06-15-2012, 04:00 AM
maybe due to it is early morning in US? no one around DC ? I hope not....

Posted by chasingsol, 06-15-2012, 04:03 AM
I doubt the issue is at the DC. If it's a backhaul problem, that's more likely to be happening up in Los Angeles.

Early morning should have nothing to do with it. I'm near the DC in Southern California, and I'm awake because we have a service outage caused by this issue.

Posted by toro, 06-15-2012, 04:03 AM
Staminus has one of the longest uptime records of any hosting company. We stand by our terms of service. This is not a complete outage. Many customers are, however, impacted.

There is a backhaul problem with a transport circuit. We are working with our provider to get this resolved immediately.

We do not have an eta at this time.

Thank you for your patience.

Cox issue resolved. We will have more information in the morning regarding this. We will then communicate this via email to our customers who were impacted.

I am staminus customer and regional partner since 7-8 years. I spend more traffic from many of you, I have hit millions of day. And this problem came to my busy time, I am waiting patiently your talking about staminus is very wrong. Staminus company wasn’t built by rich people, it built by people who are loving this job and trying to come to place with knowledge. Yes, very sad but they realize that the problem is long term and that Matt is one of his best.

How can someone be in the IT/tech industry for 7-8 years and not learn to speak/write 'understandable' English ?

Posted by Brave, 06-15-2012, 09:07 AM
I know english as I want to use, I did not speak English, so I do not need sales people in the region that I responsible for my own country. We have english translators enough. thank you

Could you post this email on WHT also? I'm sure there are many like me who are interested in what happened.

Thank you Staminus for an $11 credit. This will surely make up for all the money I lost yesterday.

Posted by TheTrance, 06-16-2012, 01:53 AM
this was out of their hands. I think i'm OK with one outage a year

Or at least a day of hosting. What's it with people expecting 1000% SLA's.

If your site is so mission critical, don't host it from just one datacenter/provider.

Take matters into your own hands - at the least have a DR plan, offsite backups, etc. If you can't or don't know how to make the site HA and require it, and it's bringing in the $$, hire someone to do it for you.
