IronCladServers.ca down..?

Posted by TheException, 10-10-2012, 02:56 AM
I have an account with www.IronCladServers.ca and it seems to be down across the board, and I'm not receiving any response to my previous tickets, or my now emails to their support email since I can't access the client portal and ticket system.

Is it possible it's something with my connection, or my IP, or is it down for everyone else too?

lol!
Thanks. :-) Laughter is the key to happiness, and I could use a few extra laughs right now.
Well, hopefully my new dedicated server with hotservers is setup soon and runs smooth so I can put this behind me and move forward.

Sorry to hear that, suck donut.
Any luck getting ahold of them?
I think I might have found their physical address and parent company name, Eastlink, but I'm not sure as it's from a document from 2009, but the address matches my searches to their name...

Their profile shows them logging in earlier today - I'm surprised they missed this thread.

I've got a VPS with them which isn't down, but might as well be:

dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync
6427+0 records in
6427+0 records out
421199872 bytes (421 MB) copied, 1603.91 s, 263 kB/s

...and my PM...
Hopefully they get it sorted out quickly and make everything work. I was quite happy with them until late. I know they are Canadian as well, so just had a long weekend with a stat holiday, and apparently are trying to hire more staff right now, so hopefully they do that and get things working. I'd like to keep my account with them, especially since I've pre-paid for a few months... Hopefully they enlist the help of one of the great service providers here on WHT that can come in and fix the problem with their outsourced admin and support services...

Eastlink is my home ISP...though in Western Canada. The last few hours the cables been in and out so I suppose it could be that.

Thank you! That's good to know. I already figured out IronCladServers.ca uses EastLink or is affiliated with them, so at least it's not that they have just packed up and disappeared if their uplink provider is having technical difficulties.

Cheers.

They do have pings to their host but port 80 is inaccessible. Looks ike uplink is okay

I Cant get on it either...

I can't find any reviews or social network sites?

No, they are a new hosting company, but being from Canada and previously my needs were slim to none for hosting, I gave them a shot. Not a lot of Canadian web hosts out there that don't charge an arm and a leg to be physically hosted in Canada. I usually just get my hosting out of the USA, which is what I'm back to now. I hope they get their poop in order and do something for their clients so they can bounce back. I'm going to keep my reseller account going with them, but just use it for a playground and not for any client or partner sites. Give them time and hopefully they will be as reliable as the rest of them. I just hope they hurry up so I can just transfer sites over seamlessly instead of restoring backups and whatnot.

I got an email with an explanation 5 hours ago. I'd assume all their current customers did.

Would it be possible to share that information? Pretty please with TB SSD drives on top

These guys are DOWN AGAIN! Last time, they claimed their head tech died (and thus, all of their servers went down for a week!).

I should have gone with my gut on this one. Any company that goes down that hard is just not stable enough to do business with.

I saw a 45 minute window of downtime/issues which ended before your post. That's significantly different than their last outage.

You're right. I panicked!

But I also backed up everything once it was all back live. I'm going to have everything ready for migration in case of "a next time".
