Wisconsin-based Web hosting provider MonsterMegs (www.monstermegs.com) announced this week that they have officially introduced Bitcoin as an acceptable payment option for their hosting services. “It has become quite obvious that Bitcoin accepted hosting is a growing market,” said Kevin Kopp, MonsterMegs Founder, “Since we have started accepting Bitcoins, we have seen a dramatic increase in sales. We believe this is directly related to the limited number of reputable web hosts currently accepting this as a payment option.”

Bitcoin is a peer to peer decentralized currency that enables instant payments to anyone located anywhere in the world. It has no central authority, so managing transactions and issuing money are carried out collectively by the P2P network.

According to Kevin, “Since we offer hosting services in various locations throughout the world, we realize there is a large number of customers that cannot pay with the usual payment methods such as Paypal or Credit Card. Buy accepting Bitcoins, we can now cater to these customers that are limited on their payment options due to possible restrictions in their country.

All MonsterMegs web hosting plans include features such as cPanel, Free Website Migration, Clustered Failover DNS, and the latest versions of PHP, MySQL and Apache . Also included with every MonsterMegs hosting plan are many advanced features such as CloudLinux, Softaculous (1 Click Script Installer), RVSkin, CloudFlare CDN , and LiteSpeed Web Server.

MonsterMegs is based outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin with their hosting servers located within various datacenters including PhoenixNAP and Leaseweb/EvoSwitch in the Netherlands.

MonsterMegs offers shared web hosting, reseller hosting and semi-dedicated hosting solutions.
