servebydesign.net down

Posted by lemon09, 02-14-2013, 08:00 AM
Hi all,

My dedicated server and servebydesign.net web site seem to be down for at least 2 hours now. Can anybody confirm this is not just me?

Posted by BeZazz, 02-14-2013, 08:03 AM
Are they hosted with / at iMountain?

As I see iMountain and Kiloserver are down.

Posted by souhil, 02-14-2013, 02:59 PM
anyone know what's going on with servebydesign?

Posted by lemon09, 02-14-2013, 03:02 PM

Posted by souhil, 02-14-2013, 03:14 PM
I just hate them, do you know the reason? Did you manage to get them on the phone?

Posted by fbauto1, 02-18-2013, 08:48 PM

It seems like their main webpage is now showing an email address to contact for updates.

Lucky you!
Mine's been dead since Feb 14

I'm sure the owners of Serve By Design are just as bent out of shape about this as you guys. Their hands are tied at the moment, unfortunately, since the problem lies with iMountain being offline.

does anyone know the exact address of the building? or the name on the TWC account? Tried calling them and imountain is not the account holder. I'm going straight to the source. I'm hoping someone contacted TWC. I would like to hear from them.

Good luck. Their datacenter is no longer accepting phone calls anymore.

OK guys.... I have very bad news. I called Time Warner they hinted that no techs were scheduled to that address. I bet their account is severely delinquent.

This makes me so angry.

We have been in the process of moving back to our renovated Minnesota data center. This was really bad timing. Because we still had a number of customers in the iMountain facility. We are trying to arrange someone to pick up our servers and bringing them back to Minnesota.

Any idea on when things will be back online? I actually have a server with you that is down (at iMountain).

Posted by 5Flat, 02-20-2013, 03:19 PM
No word yet. We have lots of conflicting data.

I can only imagine on the conflicting data part (from what I have seen thus far of WHT members posting even). I definitely am looking forward to this being over and done with outage wise. Am I correct in presuming whether iMountain service is restored promptly or not your intent is still to get your co-located equipment out of the facility?

ServeByDesign if you find out anything at all, could you please let us all know? Thank you!

This is hearsay, but they have a circuit issue and the part was supposed to be replaced last night.

I still have yet to hear this directly from the iMountain manager.

I was told the same from the receptionist about the circuit. I see they are not up today, but it does sound promising.

Thank you so much for that information!

I suppose everyone is going to get partial refund for the outages

An email will be soon sent out to all our clients effected by the west coast shutdown.

Your server has been down for almost a week and a half. I hope you're not going to stay with them? If you forgot to backup your data, wait until it's back up, grab your data and flee far away. If they offer compensation I wouldn't take it, 1week+ of downtime is simply unacceptable.

... I need my stuff...

Posted by 5Flat, 02-24-2013, 09:25 PM
The few servers we had left in the iMountain facility will likely not be accessible any longer. Thanks to iMountain not paying it's bills. They gave us no warning before going offline. At this point, it's a 99.9% change that servers located at iMoutain are lost.

Just wait, you might get your files later.

Ouch, I hope you the best guys.

Sounds like trouble to those poor customers

I hope you manage to get your data back, though it's not looking hopeful.

Good luck, must be a nightmare for everyone concerned

Crossing our fingers.
The last backup we had was 3 months ago

servebydesign,

Am I correct in presuming those effected by this outage will still need to put in cancellation requests once your billing system is back up?
