Wholesaleinternet. Down?

Posted by jstand1, 04-20-2013, 04:21 AM
I have a server with wholesaleinternet and it has been down since 2AM CST, which is over an hour and 20 minutes now. Sent out a support ticket but no one has responded, and no one picked up the phone. Anyone else having problems and hosts with them?

I have 2 servers with them. Both work fine.

We're down to. I had them reboot the server not knowing there was a network issue. When after an hour, the server didn't come back, they finally let me know the network was down and there's no ETA.

I really need to go to bed! LOL

Are you guys in Oak Tower location or Clay?

I think Oak Tower, but not sure. How would we know?

If you are an old customer, you can be in Oak Tower (in this case, you would know where you are now as they move dedicated servers from Oak Tower to Clay).

Both of my servers are currently in Clay and both are up so it may be some network issue in Oak Tower, that is why I asked about location.

I'm a new customer--only 1 week--but it's definitely down and has been for hours now and support isn't responding--presumably trying to get the servers back up.

Was just advised that a network card went bad and they're getting one from their other facility. I asked them which facility I was in but haven't received a response yet.

Server still down after they told me it should be up 45 minuts ago. Total down time is nearing 3 hours. Getting frustrated. I should have been in bed hours ago.

I've been in this business for over five years. Just never experiences such an extended down time. Server is still down after almost 7 hours.

Can somebody elaborate on this. I wasn't aware that Wholesale Internet had 2 locations. I thought that they were just in Oak Tower.

They told me I was in their North Kansas City location, but what that means or where that is I don't know. I couldn't find anything on Google and WII website doesn't mention the second location at all.

We had a card die in a distribution router affecting about 80 servers. (Out of thousands)

The card was replaced about 4am. At that time we found out that there was an issue with a single port on the spare that was still affecting 15 servers.

We swapped the card again and the problem was resolved at 5am.

If you are experiencing issues at this point, they are isolated to your server. Please open a ticket and one of the techs will assist you.

Thanks, Aaron, for the update.
