eNotch Hacked/Down?

Posted by PavHost, 05-17-2013, 03:53 AM
Seems like there hacked by a kid? http://Enotch.COM, I have a few servers collocated with them, Do you think they will go down as well? They seem up, I'm thinking of migrating the servers unless I receive an update from them. (Tried calling there WHOIS number, No response) I also have them on Skype though no response of there.

Enotchnetworks.com also seems to be hacked..

I'm just wondering how a kid with no proper education can hack a 12 year old company, Enotch seriously should stop pissing off people to not get in trouble like this.

Do you really believe that hacker is 12 years old kid? Hope eNotch will handle this fast.

Considering that he's been defacing sites since 2008, I doubt very much that he falls into that age range.

You are assuming that picture is him and you are also assuming English is his native language which is a rather large assumption considering English isn't the only spoken language online.

Also, one of the links from the hack page shows a guy with a beard with his face covered. And both the hacked page and the sites he has linked to are in Arabic so I'm still not sure how you are coming to this conclusion. Also, if you are going to pick on someones writing, you used the wrong form of "they're" in your original post.

That being said, I'm waiting for an update from them and hope they recover from this soon. Their twitter hasn't been updated for 3 years so I can't find out what is going on at all.

Hackers do this intentionally to avoid detection. Researchers are able to identify people using the patterns in their language usage.

Hello all,

As you know our website was hacked. We are in the process of taking steps to bring the site and associated urls back online. Please note that our website is hosted in Atlanta on a instance with other eNotch services / tools. This is completely isolated and has nothing to do with our dedicated server customers in NYC or LA or colocation customers in New York in fact they use a different system all together.

In the interim, please feel free to PM me, contact on AIM or Skype if there are any questions or concerns.

All of the affected services were restored within 2-3hrs. This thread should likely be closed as it has been a week since it was resolved.
